I'm glad you admit that any person that is so useless to society as to not even have a proper ID of any kind and also incapable of taking a short trip into town to be issued a free one is gonna be a Dem voter.

I 100% agree with you.

Clearly you're a very intelligent person. I like how you avoided personal attacks and instead directly addressed what I posted.

Fair enough. You seem like a dumbfrick for criticizing a man whose wife is going to speak about gun control without knowing if he had any influence on her decision to do so. You seem like a dumbfrick because you are trashing an upstanding American who has served this country in ways that most people can only try to imagine. Furthermore, you seem like a dumb motherfricker for insinuating that this guy has "exploited" his wife's very serious injuries to undermine your rights. Mark Kelley is a highly decorated veteran. He's educated. He's lost a lot due to gun violence. He has every right to say what he believes and support his wife. And statistically, he probably has more experience with the effects of gun violence than you do. This "sickening" guy is still with the woman he married....after the changes that she has been through. Changes that I imagine have been very difficult to accept.

Why don't you compare yourself to this guy. When I do it's pretty damn humbling. Mark Kelley

By the way, I like how you avoided personally attacking him instead of directly addressing the facts.

Oh I'm sure we have tons of combat fighter pilots and astronauts posting in this thread.

Gun control is no different than any other pet issue for Democrats:

They find a straw man to attack to avoid addressing the underlying causes of the problem, which has most likely been caused by policies they have implemented which are the root cause of most of our societal ills.

Just because a man is a veteran does not mean his opinion trumps mine. Every man is due the same respect he gives me. He undermines my right, well f him, simple as that. I am sure many vets feel the same as me.
And yes it is a fair and relative question: is Mrs Giffords malleable?

He co-founded and is the main spokesperson for their recently formed gun control group. I'd say he has some influence on her decision. Without her, no one would even take him remotely serious.

What does his service to this country have to do with him as a person? Is he supposed to be more special because of it?

I'm not insinuating it, I'm saying it flat out. He is using his wife's tragedy to gin up support for laws which undermine every American's Constitutionally-protected right to bear arms.

Ok?

He's educated.

Many in this country are.

Where did I say he didn't have the right to say what he wants?

You know nothing about me...not that "experience" with the effects of "gun violence" makes you an expert in the matter anyways.

I do commend him for sticking by his wife. I just find the way he parades her around in order to evoke an emotional response to be repulsive.

I have no way of addressing him personally, unlike the way you were able to address me personally, but I would certainly address the facts with him in person, given the opportunity. I'd especially like to ask him why he doesn't consider himself a hypocrite after he lobbied for an "assault weapons" ban in front of the U.S. Senate and then days later went and purchased one of the objects he was seeking to ban.

That you would even think that a man of courage and character would do that to his wife for political gain. Thats low man.

I served my country in combat, and I will openly criticize a man who "served" in the military but wishes to step on the constitution.
I will also criticize a man who DOES USE the tragedy involving his wife to push a political agenda.
I will also call you a dumbfrick for touting such a man.
I will also call you a dumbfrick for being a liberal POS.

Well said.

I am sure Gabby and Mark were fine people, and it is really bad for them that she was attacked, but the moment they both started advocating for a system that makes it harder for people to exercise a fundamental right I lost all sympathy.

Besides, Mark was all about purchasing an 'evil' AR15 until people got wind of it and called him out on his hypocrisy. In response he crafted some bullshite response about doing 'research' and how he was going to 'give the gun to the local PD.' Screw that clown.

Excellent Post! I agree with this completely. I also felt bad for Gabby when the incident occurred. BUT as you stated above.....when they both began using the incident for the political purpose of infringing on the 2nd amendment....I have nothing for those two.

I didn't know about the AR incident with Mark either....thanks for the info. He is a POS

So a person getting shot makes that person an expert on Constitutional Law, gun violence and mental health?

Well then, since his "experience" makes him an expert on gun laws and the Constitution, why is he committing a felony in the picture below? And in front of the New York State Attorney, no less.

It’s against New York State law for someone to be in possession (i.e. holding) a handgun without a valid NYS Pistol license. Kelly is unable have a NYS pistol license because he’s not a legal resident of New York.

Sure he does. But his experience with gun violence is meaningless. Nobody (that i know) is promoting gun violence. He isnt promotion a reduction of gun violence, he is promoting a senseless gun control measure. I dont give a shite how many degrees he earned or how many space shuttles he flew, his proposals are ludicrous and proven over many separate exoeriments to be ineffective at its supposed purpose. I assume he knows this because he is intelligent enough to guide a space rocket.

I dont care. A lot of people i know have lost more than him. Nobody gives a shite what they think, nor should they based on tragic circumstances alone. It has no bearing on the topic. Unless you prefer to think emotionally on the subject. I don't.

Speak for yourself then. Im pretty satisfied with my own accomplishments. I dont need a NASA pilot pedigree (as though that is in any way related to the issue) to respect my own opinion.

When you choose to promote your opinions to the public, you open yourself to attack. Right or wrong, he is a big boy and now he has to deal with it.
