What he said is a popular meme going around right now. Girls say it too as a joke.

So just to be clear, he didn't just randomly make up the phrase.

I guess he thought it would be funny to yell it while standing on a table.

Stupid of course, but he was just goofing around with the meme.

and considering all of the stupid shite he's done and probably does on a weekly basis, he is getting his little slap on the wrist and all will be fine.
Next year he will be worth millions and will do some more stupid stuff so all is still right with the world. No big deal.

Are these girls being investigated for rape? Are these girls casting a dark shadow over their university? Had he made the comment at choir practice he'd probably be starting on Saturday. This is as much about his past behavior and the light it cast upon the university as it is about his mindless comment.

Sadly this, like everything else in this country, is about money. PERIOD!
Thousands of college students can stand in a campus building and shout at the top of their lungs, "Suck That Tiger Dick, BITCH!" with ZERO consequence.
Why? Because it doesn't effect the bottom line.
But let a college student, who makes his campus a boatload of money, draw attention to himself with a similar comment and suddenly we become offended.

This has ZERO to do with doing the right thing or violence against women. It's about money....It's ALWAYS about money.

AND, what would/could the university do about this? Arrest all of them.
They did make the band stop playing a very popular song because of the jackasses.

One of the most popular guys in college football can't do shite like what he did considering his past. With the perks of the spotlight you get the negatives. Don't act like an idiot.

I don't think it is... He was repeating an internet meme as a joke.

I in no way condone the behavior, as you represent the university and shouldn't scream obscenities in the cafeteria while standing on a table, but he wasn't calling out a certain girl and saying this.

I agree with you.

However, I think it will be used by the feminazis as an example of how all men verbally abuse women in general.

It was stupid for him to do and in poor taste but I think everyone has the constitutional right to express themselves even if what they say is stupid, in poor taste and offensive to someone.

Since it isn't a crime to be stupid and it isn't a crime to say something offensive, I don't think he should have been benched but because he is a FSU football player and represents the team, I understand why the the coach is upset about it.

Another reason colleges and universities should hold their athletes to the same academic standards as the rest of the student body. Let the NFL create a minor league for these idiots.

What does the Constitution have to do with FSU benching Winston for saying "frick her right in the pussy" in the student cafeteria?

It's not like he shouted, "Fire!" in a crowded theater so:

quote:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

It isn't the law that he had to be suspended in the first half of the game...

He isn't in legal trouble over it.

Good lord. What is wrong with you? I'll bet it's hard to pronounce, whatever the diagnosis.
