What if he fell running with the gun?? We don’t even know what happened

Same thing was said about Michael Brown ("hands up, don't shoot") and Freddie Gray (Baltimore).
I am sure those cops would disagree.

Also, the parents of this kid should be jailed or if nothing else charged with neglect. Raise your kid right and this shite won't happen. You don't teach them to run from police. Whether stealing or not, if he didn't have any business being behind that business...he should not have been there. Again that is the parents fault. You want to change the way stereotypes are applied? Quit making them true. To truly change this shite, parents need to start being charged to some degree for shut their kids do. This country has lost accountability and that's what's needed to fix all this. This situation occurred simply because of lousy arse parenting from probably long ago. We have to break the chain/cycle somewhere though...and need to start charging parents for their kids actions because they're responsible for their youth, or should be, and this whole situation starting in the first place.

Running from the police has never crossed my mind.

Please show us where you fond the facts that wealthier white people use illegal drugs at a higher rate.

Can we point you to about 100 videos of people going to get their I.D. and being shot to pieces? There are tons of videos of citizens complying to every damn ridiculous officer demand and still being shot at.
Can you be anymore dramatic? I bet you believe Tax Reform lead to deaths in the streets also.

His results are all from 1 hard impact, probably being taken to the ground from a standing position.
There is no abrasion from sliding across the ground, and not even skin ruptures from licks against cheekbones, jaws, teeth etc.
Different licks leave boundaries,it's like a story that you can read,If you've seen it enough.
This is closer to the truth than the cops beating this kid and I'll tell you why I believe this. A friend of mine came by the shop after spending 3 days in the hospital from having a brain bleed. No, he wasn't beaten by cops. He tripped over a baby gate in his house and hit his face on hardwood floors. Fractured his cheek and orbital bones in 4 places. His face looked almost identical to this kid to the point they almost had to place a shunt in his head to relieve the swelling.
If the kid was resisting to the point the officer decided to take him off of his feet, it isn't unreasonable for a blow to the concrete to have the same results as what occurred to my friend hitting hardwood floors. Just food for thought. And like some of the rest on here, I'll wait for more info before passing judgement.

Why the frick should they be on the lookout for anyone is no crime was committed?
It mentions no crime committed at the location where he started to flee, not that the guy didn’t match the description of a crime committed elsewhere.
Read. There are missing pieces.

Looks a bit extreme, but let’s wait until the facts come out.
If the kid was indeed fleeing and had a gun, then resisted arrest...

Thanks for confirming what I figured all along based on your posts.

In this day and age there is no excuse to beat an AA kid like that unless you harbor some serious racism and sadistic tendencies.
I'll wait for the facts to come out, thank you. Your ilk have burned down too many cities based on lies at this point.

If they are proven guilty AFTER the facts come out, then yes. Otherwise, allow those of us who are not mentally ill to discuss this from this point forward.

f you resist police by running then yes, you deserve an arse kicking at the very least.
No, you actually don't "deserve" an arse kicking. You deserve to be apprehended and arrested.
Why is violence now justified? Because you inconvenienced the officers? Do you even understand what you're saying?

Was that kid up to no good? Maybe.
Did the cops go overboard? Maybe.
Will folks take sides before the facts are out? Definitely.
Will this result in a shitstorm? Definitely.

To put this in proper perspective, there has never been a caucasian beaten by police in similar circumstances. Not one. Ever.
BLM has it wrong. The police are equal opportunity abusers. The difference is that when the police abuse a black person, other black people get angry. When the police abuse a white person, other white people assume that person deserved it.

There are serious issues with the way police departments train their officers. There's also the militarization aspect.
In general though, there are so many laws on the books that they can find a crime if it suits them. So they look at the majority of civilians as law breakers who just haven't been caught yet.

Cops are a dying profession. This is why.
So,police forces will just disappear and people will just take care of crime on our own?
The criminals would be begging to bring back the police pretty damn fast. After they find out what real brutality is.

Besides all of that, police unions are evil. They're even worse than teacher unions when it comes to preventing union members from suffering consequences for their bad actions. It's not a coincidence that, when Scott Walker busted the public-sector unions in Wisconsin, he left out the police union. Police unions are as powerful as they've ever been and they're getting stronger.

Unless he had fingerprints on the 'stolen weapon' he just dogged a class 2 felony and five years in the pen, and that arse beating might have been worth it, if he learns from it.
2nd chances are rare today he might wish to look at it from another angle.

Wow. I'm a 50 yo white male. When I was in my 20's I had a Toyota 4wd pickup with a Rebel Flag sticker as my back glass. I got pulled over twice by a black female Birmingham police officer for going over the speed limit on one of the back roads by my workplace which is in a predominantly black neighborhoods. And both times they only gave me a warning. I've also been stopped by Jefferson County deputies and Alabama State Troopers which were black as well and all gave me a warning.
The thing I learned though, is if I treat them with respect and not be confrontational, the opposite of "we don't know what he did, but I'm sure he did something" occurs. If you don't act like a criminal, more often than not, you won't be treated like one.
