Who coach O votes for or supports is none of my business.
Outwardly supporting a man who is a negative symbol for most of the black community is probably not a great idea, considering LSU football does not exist as it is without black players.
It’s not about “being a man” or freedom speech. My comments are focused directly on LSU football & it’s standing with black players.

Cute. You made a post that inferred you had knowledge. Apparently that was false. Now you show up sucking arse. That’s ok. I don’t hold it against you. If you don’t think someone in Os position can embrace both sides you’re dumber than you sound.
I never said I had knowledge. I made my statement based on knowing the feeling of regret he’s probably having with the backlash that will follow. I’m not saying it’s fair, it’s not. But it is what it is. However, I will no longer engage you in this discussion as you actually do appear to be someone who lacks the amount of intelligence to have an adult conversation. Then again, I don’t hold that against you either. Much like the food chain or a totem pole, we all have our roles. It has become clear to me your role. Have a great night!

O didn’t even say he agrees with Trump’s politics or positions. Said he was great to his team and loved him, in the way that you enjoy someone’s personality.
If a coach can’t even say he likes the POTUS, or the governor for that matter, as people, then like someone said earlier: get rid of sports altogether. We’re too far gone.

He’s only a negative symbol for the black community because they are told so. Just like they are told voting Democrat will improve their lives. Black people need to start thinking for themselves

In LSU gear? While representing the university? On national television? At the end of the day, I don’t care what his political beliefs are. And I appreciate that he seems to have some and that he puts his neck out for them. But from a recruiting and team chemistry perspective, saying glibly that he loves a politician on national television is a bridge too far—particularly since this president has built his brand on division. If Coach O, on national television, had said that he wasn’t a fan of Trump and some of his policies, would you be so in favor of his representing the university on national tv? In this instance, he’d likely alienate some fans but not toooo many recruits (although maybe some). It’s just not the right move, the right choice of words. He should be smarter than that.
Very well said. People here are incapable of understanding this. I’m not sure if it’s as a result of a lack of relatable work experience or just lack of education. For some, I believe it to be the latter.

He’s a only a negative symbol because of bitches like you who believe that people should be silenced because others might disagree with them. Most people people don’t see him as the racist that the left and most of the media want him to be seen as. That is why the snakes out there are so desperate to shut up anyone who won’t trash him publicly.

Imagine caring or even noticing what a former player thinks or says about politics.

Many blacks don’t either. You are a perfect example of the racist left that assumes all blacks think the same way. Why do you think all of this racial crap is being stirred up by the left and media? It’s because minorities are beginning to see through the bullshite

No, his racisim is actually reflected in policies. His administration has rolled back civil rights protections in housing, health care, and education.

I don’t know much about politics, but why is this the case? What, specifically, did DJT do that was so bad to minorities? Or did someone just decide one day to make that a thing and everyone jumped on the bandwagon blindly? I’ve never seen him do/say anything blatantly racist, and he sure didn’t seem like one when he hosted this team at the WH. That O has to walk back an innocent comment just shows the absurdity of the whole political spectrum that we live in.
