Because the person bringing up the issue (you) is a moron who should immigrate to China.

Because it’s a non issue.

When it's more economically productive, it certainly is. Please make the case for economic ineffeciency. I'd love to hear it.

Who is “them”? The board members/ officers who will get paid regardless? Or the owners of Ford (aka investors) who don’t make decisions?

They couldn't build fords during the pandemic because they got all their shite from China.

Thye lost out on money by halting the new broncos and the mavericks. Both cars they couldn't make enough of to sell.

I used to like you but you've turned into a raging dick bag over the tariffs.

Plenty of cars (and trucks) being built. Haven’t noticed a dearth of available ones on the lots.

Friend of mine owns several Ford dealerships. He’s not bitching.

So Sonny the only thing being shown here is how clueless you are. Again.

Pandemic's over. And you might want to have a look at inventory levels on those models.

It’s the motors. Not the wiper blades.

But yeah, we have kinda jumped the shark with vehicles being so complicated.

I heard they had over a million units sitting at a plant in Kentucky with no where to ship them.

Aint no company building a million units into backlog inventory. I just purchased a new PU a few months ago and I can assure you Ford is not hurting on sales. They were not near as accomodating on price negotiation as GM was. Their reasoning was that they dont have to because they have the sales

American companies get about 90% of their rare earth supplies from China to build features like windshield wipers, seat belts, and speakers, CBS News reported.

So the real question is how many $ of rare earths go into a ford car? Can they not raise sticker by that amount? And can they not source them for the higher price elsewhere?

Maybe they should have cut a deal to domestically source a quarter of their needs and another quarter from the next cheapest source. Frick Chinese workers paychecks. Look out for American workers who could then afford non-Chinese crap.

The Big 3 have been building pieces of shite for 100 years. Amazes me how people pay $80k+ for one of their shite boxes.

Come on now. My windshield wipers should "know" when it's raining and turn on automatically.

And if these parts are made in America by Americans who speak American the cars will be cheaper because, well, they are built by Americans, duh
