Good. Let's abolish the IRS. I think that would save taxpayers some time

That's fine. Abolishing it would be far better than making it harder to work with.

It’s almost as if we should have somebody who’s tech genius and a crack team of coding savants looking at this?

Are we taking the savings from firing 6,000 people and buying better technology?

I have not heard that.

Biden hired 80,000 additional agents.
Put them to work finding illegals to deport. Make it a goal-oriented pay scale. Give them $15 an hour plus a bonus of $500 for every illegal they get deported. If you're good, the earnings potential is tremendous. If you suck, well, you get a nice parting gift of a severance package and a link to H&R Block's HR Dept.

If these computers are so great then how come my 1099-DIV was somehow magically deleted from my actual return?

Now I gotta file an amended return

Sounds like that's an issue on YOUR computer / whatever was used to file it.

I am still waiting on my 2023 tax return

Was the first time in years I was getting a couple thousand back, so they of course "asked" for more information

No the IRS hired thousands more employees under Biden to go specifically after hard working Americans and small businesses

I work with a lot of hard working Americans and small businesses and I can tell you I have seen NO increase of actual audits.

I have seen increases in the computerized letters going out, which are most often incorrect.

Also don't think they didn't know if you were a Democrat or Republican too. I am sure the memo went around just like at FEMA about you being a Trump supporter/conservative. Look extra hard at those in the morning meetings. Wink wink. Good Riddence.

Lois Lerner was awful... no doubt about it.

I'd rather they fire everyone so no one will be audited.

Again, traditonal audits aren't the problem. It's the computer notices.

No he didn’t. That is a complete falsehood.
The statement by Kevin McCarthy after the FBI Illegally raided President Trump’s Home was a complete lie. The Treasury Department’s Statement said that within the next 8 years that with the money saved by retiring Treasury Department Employees and people leaving the service, that they could conceivably hire 87,000 new employees at the rate of 10,000 per year. No IRS agent is issued a firearm. Only Deputized Criminal Investigators have one and they number less than 3,000 total. People that are being fired are United States Military Veterans, brought in on a Veterans hiring wave. 3,000 people who have families that have absolutely nothing to do with taking your tax money have been unceremoniously dumped and all of you so called Christian Conservatives are cheering it on.

A lot of truth here^^^^^. If there were a simple flat tax or consumption taxes at the municipal, state and federal level a lot of these accounting and tax preparation companies would be shuttered.

Most tax focused CPA firms don't really enjoy working on 1040s.

Now, the H&R Blocks of the world would get shut down.

And even if they were to rid of all business income taxes as well... there would still be some form of collection... and there will need to be people to work with that system.

They will be ok.

You're in an ever shrinking minority.

Just pervert yourself in private.

Exactly.

Someone has to read that information and input it. If there is fewer people doing that... gonna take longer to get your money back.
