Yeah, but three pull ups is terrible. Yeah, it's the minimum, but fat people are typically cool with the minimum.

Yeah.

But I can still recall convos within the Army about our high level of people who "pass" the tape test that sure seem suspect. People would note that the Marines didn't seem to have that issue.

I would simply tell them........."it's a damned lot easier to kick people out for PT failure..........and fat makes pull ups hard faster than it makes push ups hard".

At least, that was my theory.

think they can do pull ups if they want.

I think to get all the points they have to do 7 instead of 20.

Yeah, that sounds right.

It's more of a culture thing, I'd say. Fat Marines are embarrassing and you won't typically see the buddy hook ups with us. Do they still happen? Absolutely, but I think at a much lower rate.

We can't really talk shite and be arrogant assholes with a bunch of fatties running around telling people they're Marines.

I wonder if everyone in her class will be put on gag orders like the Army did for the two females who went through Ranger school.

Probably. Though plenty of quality intel came out of that debacle.

The best time for the first male finisher in the military category in the 2017 Hawaii Iron man finished behind 18 female competitors, he was Navy, but not a SEAL, the fastest SEAL finished behind more than 2 dozen women, don't remember the actual number.

My wife makes better turkey sandwiches than I do. Know why? Because I don't waste my time making turkey sandwiches. I also don't waste my time running in races.

Only 25% of women who went through SOI actually completed it and the top 10% were still in line with the bottom 10% of men.
