This happens in peacetime too, the ground forces have a habit of taking pot shots at the Palestinians carrying out their daily lives. Some old woman will be doing her laundry and a bored soldier will take a shot. Sometimes people die.

Have you considered that Hamas took over 200 hostages and raped women?
If you are the right side of this, you wouldn’t have to take small children, women, and the elderly hostage.

Israel has now killed more innocent Christians since October 7th than innocent Israelis were killed by Hamas on Oct 7th.

I don't think these Christian women were part of Hamas. Hamas is on the wrong side of this but that doesn't absolve the IDFs incompetence. And incompetence is the best case scenario here.

I don't doubt that this event occurred. Hamas loves hiding behind women and children. Seen too many videos of this occurring to start from the position an Israel sniper just wanted to kill him some Christians.

The Vatican News Agency article says that there is a convent in the Catholic enclave in which nuns and disabled people were sheltering and an IDF tank shot a round that knocked out the building's electric generator.
