Mrs. Trump did the right thing by asking the Secret Service to look into the matter.
Both she and her son are high profile individuals and the twitter universe is populated by unhinged nuts.
Any urging to do them harm should be investigated.
If that was the concern, the Secret Service would be larger than every other agency in the country.
This is politics and a waste of money.

It's a concern when the person initiating the call for violence is themselves a high profile individual.
There are misfits all around us who would do despicable things to please a celebrity.

A threat is a threat no matter the venue used to express that threat is it not?

I must have missed your musings on the waste of tax payer money that is the Mueller probe.

Why hasn't Madonna or Kathy Griffin or Peter Fonda been arrested? If the Secret Service took their job seriously these crazy celebs that call for violence would be in jail. They keep doing it because there are no real repercussions. They need to throw Fonda's arse in jail to set an example.

I guess that depends how you take it. For me, no, some dickbag on Twitter is not a threat.

It's only a "concern" because of the politics involved.

Seems like Fonda's remarks sort of equate the folks being stopped at the border with "pedophiles".

Pedophile tag hit a little too close to home for you?

wut
I'm pointing out that this comment seems way worse towards Mexicans/Central Americans than Trump's infamous "they're sending rapists" remark.

Some dick bag is not, but when its repeated over and over and over eventually some nut is going to act man. We've seen it happen too many times.
But as I said earlier my main point here is, why with the "we're going to start policing social media" hubbub over the last say 6 months or so is this shite still allowed? Do you imagine that someone who had threatened to kidnap one of the Obama girls on Twitter would not have been banned? You know they would have.

They were going to do it anyway. Twitter is an excuse, not a trigger.

Of course they'd have been banned, but I don't own Twitter, so I don't really give a shite about that.

Agents investigating this will not cost any more money than if they are sitting at their desks investigating anything else or waiting for something.

Another one?
Do I need to have a class about how budgets work in the federal government?

There goes Peter Fonda's TSA Global Entry Pass!

You don't give a shite that these large tech companies are allowing this kind of crap from one side while banning the other for stuff half as bad? I certainly care.

You should attend a class on how a salary works.
Again, the SS is spending no more money by investigating this than they are if the agents are working out, or sitting at their desks doing nothing.

No.

Of course you do, but that's only because you don't think they're allowing the right message.
