The MAGA establishment basically installed Donalds as the nominee.

I don't really like Donalds because his campaign felt (and was) very inorganic, but Fishback was very clearly more social media bubble hype than substance. No one else on the ticket was particularly inspiring either.

Looking at Donalds' platform/plans on his site, I don't hate it.

-If you enact sanctuary city policies or don't cooperate with ICE you get 0 dollars from the state government

-His education initiative where kids (and their parents) get together with the school and start career planning and figuring out a way to actually get there by 6th grade is genuinely good. And its not locked in long term, its a living document. I wish I had that growing up.

-Wants to create basically a comparison shopping tool for all forms of insurance in Florida, first program of its kind in the country. Particularly nice in Florida with our high insurance rates.

-Regular forensic audits at all levels of government.

I'm not anti-data center so that doesn't bother me as long as he doesn't try to jam them in everywhere in places where it doesn't make sense.

Kind of wish he had some bigger goals. He has the generic "Improve infrastructure" type stuff.... tell me in detail how you plan on doing it then.

In Florida, no he won't.

I'm talking about across the country. There are other areas that the races will be closer, and you still have a certain faction of the Right that just won't vote, therefore allowing the commies to have a real chance to strengthen their agenda. Agan, it is a matter of the bigger picture. I think we will become Europe, as much as I hate it, primarily on the backs of illegals and white women.

I'll remember this in 2028 when Vance is campaigning on the "common good"

Ok?

It's pretty simple, elect good candidates with good policies and you'll win. If you don't, the other side has a better chance. If we keep nominating people because of boomer wedge issues instead of policies that help families then you have a higher chance of losing.

I get what you're saying but that's how most people vote.

cite where he said this. give the specific quote. Oh wait, you can't because it isn't true.

So I get it, but you do know that means a very large % of Dems are supporting Communists?

Do you believe that the Democratic Party is quickly becoming the party of Marxism/Communism?

There are bad candidates, and then there are Democrats. They are VERY far apart.

So you don't believe that trends don't generally almost always come from Europe? It is coming here, and it looks like that is 100% what the democratic party wants at the rate they are supporting these absolute communist candidates. Once it gets here, it is too late for most of you to "take it back". I'm not saying you are a democrat or a communist. It seems like you may just be a never Trumper......but that's just as bad. People like you not voting allows the radicals to increase their footprint into becoming Europe.

So in a General Election, what will you do? Vote D, vote for Vance, or just not vote?

I guess that's my whole point.

At that point when all you're voting on is a few social issues it's over

A few social issues? LMAO Just a few huh? Say what you want about certain policies you do or don't like under Trump....and whomever the Repubs run in 28'........the party is still a million times better than this country becoming a communist country....and that is EXACTLY what Dems want...and the ones that don't realize that are just too indoctrinated or stupid.

Donalds, in a post on social media Wednesday, called the standards “good, robust & accurate.” But Donalds added that the “attempt to feature the personal benefits of slavery is wrong & needs to be adjusted. That obviously wasn’t the goal & I have faith that (the Florida Department of Education) will correct this.”

he disagreed with ONE part of it while supporting the rest.

quote:

“what’s crazy to me is I expressed support for the vast majority of the new African American history standards and happened to oppose one sentence that seemed to dignify the skills gained by slaves as a result of their enslavement. Anyone who can’t accurately interpret what I said is disingenuous and is desperately attempting to score political points.”

that isn't close to what you said:

quote:

Exactly, but he's clearly a fricking low IQ mouth breather that can't think for himself.

I'm still waiting for proof he "agreed" with Harris or said the word "racist"

Trump, MAGA, and MAGA influencers (Posobiec, Catturd, Bannon, etc.) spent 2 years saying, without any evidence, that DeSantis was controlled by the Bushes, Karl Rove, and Paul Ryan. Which was ironic since the Trump campaign previously hired Rove as an Advisor and was filled with Bush staffers. Where the frick were both of you when that was going on to refute that Bull shite?

If MAGA can throw out complete BS, to be consistent, MAGA, in this case Donalds, has to be stuck with the siding with Kamala label. Which, unlike the BS that Trump and MAGA RINO's spewed, actually has a little bit of truth to it.

What incoherent point are you trying to make? In no way is there any truth to what you're claiming. I've lived in Florida for a decade and am a huge fan of what DeSantis has done for the state, especially as a business owner.

Being intentionally disingenuous because maga shows how disconnected you are from reality. Step away and get some fricking air.

My point is that Trump and the other MAGA RINO populists spent 2 years lying 24/7 about DeSantis, often spewing left-wing talking points, and said that he was controlled by Bush, Rove, and Ryan. They got very little, if any, push back from "conservative" media and influencers. Heck, several people on this board believe and say those things.

Why is MAGA allowed to label others with bull shite charges but no one is allowed to label MAGA with something that has a tiny bit of truth to it? My point is there needs to be consistency.

My best hope is that Collins is able to squeak out a win over Donalds

Collins is a real Baw, but experienced and smart. Donalds has done little that I know of to show leadership. His accomplishments, beyond being elected, are unknown to me. Fishback says the right things, but he is experienced like Barry Soetoro was before becoming a senator.

Collins did not win. I hope there is a place of importance for him.
