TBH - Publix is too expensive for low class criminals

If you are going just to rob, then you'd expect people who have some $ on them. If you know they are armed, you'd probably pass.

The whole open carry vs concealed carry reminds me of this Archie Bunker editorial.

I loved "All in the Family". However, Carroll O'Connor was a big lefty. The Archie Bunker character was made to look like an ignorant bigot with really over the top beliefs. It can be seen in that commercial.

I wonder if that is how Rush Limbaugh got his phrase, “illustrating of absurdity, by being absurd.”

I'm pro gun AF, but I don't think we need open carry in supermarkets. It's just not that common, and if you do you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

You will at first but folks will acclimate.

Can you quote some reputable report or study?

I think we need it everywhere.

Same. Imagine if you went anywhere and you could visibly see that everyone or at least overwhelming majority of the people are carrying, society would be a lot more polite.

One would be less likely to FAFO if everyone was armed and you knew it.

I’m the reputable source… I’ve seen it happen… have actually saved some people from having their shite took by telling lil homie “let him make it leave him alone he ain’t about no trouble”… that open carry shite making yall targets… it’s basically the same when they go “gun shopping” which consists of going to a business with a big parking lot and breaking into trucks… only difference now they’ll just take it off your hip

I've not heard too many tussles or action happening in Publix.

And, now there will be none. If you see a dude in LSU gear with a hogleg in Publix, say hello.

This is a big nothingburger. We've had open carry for years in Texas and I've only seen it a handful of times. The VAST majority still conceal.

Seems like a good idea. Try to rob a guy who is armed.
