My dad was pretty cynical that whole election. Kept saying Hillary was going to win even though he voted Trump and went to a rally once.
He didn't bother to stay up for returns and just went to bed early. He gets up at 5 AM every morning for coffee and watch the morning news. He got the shock of his life when he sat down in the den and turned on the news with his coffee and sees this on his screen.
He spit out that coffee all over the carpet and went like holy fricking shite!!!!!
I don't know which is better. Learning Trump is POTUS in one instant train running over you moment or watching returns by a thousand cuts all night long and slowly coming to the realization that Trump will be POTUS.
I'm jealous of my dad for that surreal, incredulous and instant blindside moment.

This was better.
That night was so glorious and I wasn't even a Trump fan. I'd never have forgiven myself if I went to bed and missed it. I wish I could go back and relive the whole thing. I think Podesta coming out and telling all the Hillary losers to go home was a top moment in my entire life.
