Not to give legitimacy to the silly comparison, but was bin Laden ever actually convicted of his crimes? I know pending charges were dismissed once we put daylight in his dome, but that happened 13 years after he was indicted for crimes committed before 9/11.

seems silly.. and i feel like that's why guns are typically incorporated with government takeovers, but obviously there is something special about our government that allows for people walking through a building to somehow prevent the transfer of power.

Bin Laden (at least) helped kill thousands of people in an attack on the American Homeland. That's a crime fo sho.
This dude helped coordinate a protest that turned slightly unruly (at worst) in certain spots. Maybe he had delusions of grandeur and thought that his contribution to the protest would result in Trump somehow remaining president. That doesn't make it seditious conspiracy any more than me texting my wife saying we should tie up our 4 year old until they behave child abuse.
