I can do basic math. To make it to the United States, these boats would have had to have been refueled at sea several times. Wouldn't we blow up these narco-terrorist tankers??? Why are none of them blown up within 500 miles of the United States???

That's one of the reasons I think blowing up these boats is ridiculous. The Caribbean boats apparently go to Trinidad. I'm assuming the Pacific boats go to Central America. So, we're blowing up boats that go to ANOTHER country not ours -- and in the case of the Caribbean ones, that coke may be going to Europe!

Why so we can release them so they do it again

This is hilarious.
Poliboard: we don't have legal authority to arrest them.
Also poliboard: we have legal authority to eliminate them from the face of the earth.

I’m not sure who is making that argument and under what context, but I don’t see why we couldn’t arrest them as enemy combatants in US or international waters (then go through a fricking Abrego Garcia-type nightmare with American democrat activist judges over every single one of them), but why do all that when we can just drone them straight to hell? This is what we voted for.

I wonder if part of establishing a case for violation of the laws of the United States is that the government must prove that these drugs were going to the United States despite being over 800 miles away. Maybe that's why we didn't detain the survivors of the sub we blew up.

Do you not believe these drug operations are multinational? do you also not believe that getting Maduro out of Venezuela and establishing Maria Corina as a pro US president would not be beneficial for US interest.

Transnational organized crime poses an increasingly serious threat to public safety, democratic governance and state legitimacy in Latin America. Once primarily concentrated in countries like Mexico and Colombia, criminal networks have recently expanded into new regions such as Ecuador, Peru and Chile, integrating themselves both geographically and institutionally.

US has to establish control of our backyard. Not letting these Cartels and China influence themselves any longer in the region is key to our own securtiy.

Not our business. Trump was all about no regime change wars. When he gets involved in these things, I think, what was even the point of him? May as well have just supported Haley.
