Exactly.

Have you ever seen that Chappelle Show skit where Dave is on the witness stand in a fake R Kelly trial and the prosecutor asks him what it would take for Dave to find R Kelly guilty? That's basically the threshold of evidence required in this instance.

Unfortunately it's very easy to take this conclusion out of context.

Interesting footnote. All of this CLEARLY shows the FBI intentionally lied their arse off to the FISA court

The only question is if they will ever be held accountable

As we discuss later in this report, Carter Page's comment about his lack of a relationship with Manafort was relevant to one of the allegations in the Steele reporting that was relied upon in the Carter Page FISA applications, but information about the August 2016 CHS meeting was not shared with the OI attorneys handling the FISA applications until June 2017

Yes.
Dave Chappelle is a great comedian! He's still rustling jimmies.

So far, what has been reviled as having "happened" that Durham would investigate "why" and "how" of?
Just curious.

At first glance, the most frustrating thing to me about the report is the continued use of the qualifier "based on FBI policies & procedures" and the subsequent focus on recommendations related to improving/updating policies and procedures.

It does sound like Bruce Ohr is going to get it though.

Could be. They have to make an effort. That said...what is the significance of Ohr? Before this witch hunt, who ever heard of him?

And there it is. It was nothing more than a "process crime", and "policies" will be looked at to make sure this type of thing never happens again.

SSDD.

Apparently, the actual report contained zero conclusive evidence , according to information available this afternoon.
Mark Meadows has a history oF wildly misstating facts and distorting reality. There's no "there" there for conspiracy proponents.

Of course, we can always rely on Barr's interpretation.

He's just a fall guy, IMO.

Very few people knew who he was until recently.

I think it’s better to defer to the interpretation of those that believe men have menstrual cycles.

So here is an opinion from someone who didnt vote for Trump in 2016 but prides himself on being objective and non-partisan (socially liberal and fiscally conservative): the IG report seems pretty fricking damning. Not gonna lie. There is some meat there that I didnt think would exist.

Again, this is just my opinion but here's what i think happened. The investigation was properly opened based on the Australian's reporting to the FBI but then some over zealous DOJ/FBI people took it to far.

And?
Don't you find what was done after it was opened to be more damning, or does the start of something nullify anything done after that??

Not sure I understand what part is "pretty fricking damning".

What was damning were the FISA applications

Follow the 24 hour rule...spin is out in full force, wait until the entire report has time to digest.

Fair enough, but I have little faith that anyone other than throw away peons like Ohr will have any "price" to pay.

Again...does anyone think that the swamp will give up their power and gravy train because "it's the right thing to do"?

“Because it is the right thing to do”? No.

Because there are people with torches and pitchforks after them? Perhaps.

But there are no actual people with torches and pitchforks after them.
They know this. Worse case scenario for them? They fade into the background...exit stage left..with their fat pensions and future book deals.
