Austin is probably loaded with "grass". I would think.

Yes, my son told us about Hill Country. We might check it out.

I mean, you were in East Austin...

lol...okay.

I'm no fan of Austin and as Conservative as it gets, but it can be a pretty fun place to spend the weekend if you don't already have a frick ton of preconceived notions.

Next time, instead of going in thinking you're triggering a bunch of people...maybe just do things you may enjoy doing and don't worry about all the others.

Everything is crowded if you are anywhere near Austin but the West side of town is very nice. 290 from Johnson City to Fredericksburg is loaded with wineries and breweries if you enjoy that scene. The Sixth St of lore is rapidly deteriorating in the same way the scene on Bourbon St has become unsafe and somewhat unfriendly. If you are on Manor Rd you are seeing the worst of what Austin offers. It’s not overly charming anywhere in town and you will absolutely see soy boys and freaks in the heart of the area.

BTW: that weird bullshite post with the guy talking about his wife’s boyfriend and other dumb crap is straight from r/austincirclejerk where a bunch of unfunny folks make the same post over and over

Austin has gotten less weird over the years too. We used to live there. Its a lot more tame now.

You've missed Leslie being everywhere. You've missed the ban on highway construction due to the possibility of a 3 toed blind salamander 309 feet below the surface.

Many of the "keep Austin weird" places were razed to make room for dumb asses living in condos downtown.

Austin has nice areas, the problem should be obvious, you're not far from MLK Blvd.

My daughter moved to South Austin 2 years ago. Took her about 4 months to get tired of the libtards. She moved to Georgetown- way way better!

The Hill Country just outside of Austin is beautiful but the traffic is becoming horrendous and the middle eastern community is FLOODING in.

Go west to the hill country and you'll see the most beautiful part of Texas.
