Yaw realize every white collar employee is escorted out of the building these days?
Also, glad he’s gone.

I see you're in the Tuscaloosa area. I'm originally from Greene County.
Not far from Boligee, but in Sumter County near York, after Katrina FEMA stored a ton of trailers in a field to be used for Katrina aftermath. Those trailers sat there unused for years. That's FEMA putting our tax dollars to work.
Not really much to do with your comment, Katrina was just the first time I remember FEMA being front and center in the news and seeing some of their "work" in action.
I know exactly where you are talking about. My farm is in north Sumter, and my wife is from Aliceville.
I had forgotten about those trailers. Seemed like a real waste of material\money.
I have a friend who lives in New Orleans that owns a welding\fabricating shop. He took a 20' container and made a 1 bedroom with small bath and kitchen. He used a 40' and make it into a 2 bedroom, 1 bath and kitchen. AC units, meter box\breaker panel on them were recessed so nothing stuck out beyond a standard container.
He pitched it to FEMA and they declined. His point was that they could be stacked 2 high, moved quickly on rails and deployed anywhere needed in a few days. Then in the off season (or whenever they are unneeded) they could be shipped via rail to somewhere dry like Arizona and stacked up.
Seemed like a great idea to be but of course the government said no. Probably becauuse he did offer a bribe.
