Collective energy creation. I compared it to a meme and tulpa in the thread from which this one spawned.

Lets just have them admit that they believe that Ritualistic Satanic Pedophilia doesn't exist. Like they do with those who question Climate Change.

A good, real world example. So I went and visited a cousin's kid in the hospital once a couple years back. Because I'm the "cool uncle" or whatever, the kid thinks he can confide in me that he has been dabbling in divination arts in a psyche ward in a hospital.

Sucks, right?

How would a Christian handle this? Let me get your answer first before I tell you what an egregore is.

I don't know. Probably any number of ways depending on the Christian.

In that hypo I think the only disqualifying religion would be Scientology

Does he want me to say that a Christian would tell the kid he's wrong? The question is clearly loaded, but it's too vague for me.

Neither, considering that's factual.

AI's response:

quote:

No, Aleister Crowley was not a Satanist, though he was sometimes associated with Satanism due to his occult activities and anti-Christian views. He founded the spiritual philosophy of Thelema, which is distinct from Satanism and did not involve worshipping Satan.

Thelema: Crowley founded Thelema, which centers on the principle of "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law".

Occultism: He was a prominent figure in the occult and was a member of various occult organizations.

Anti-Christian views: Crowley was critical of Christianity and broke from its moral framework, which may have led to his association with Satanism.

Satanism vs. Thelema: Modern Satanism, founded by Anton LaVey, is different from Crowley's Thelema, although both are outside of mainstream Christianity

The answer was to explain what an egregore is.

An egregore is an umbrella energy. It doesn't require that you adhere to Satans laws. It only requires you to be in the frame of mind for its own growth.

Therefore, the more people who feed it it's preferred energy, the more people it can influence with the energy of the ones who fed it. Understand?

In this way, it doesn't matter how many people adhere to an idea vs the whole. It is a self-cycling loop that literally hopes that you don't understand it's motives so your thought patterns disregard it in the hopes that you can feed it even moreso. .
SFP knows this. .. He doesn't want to address this concept as it pertains to the idea that Ritualistic Satanic Pedophilia is, in his words, non-existent.

Any God of any religion - absolutely.

The one they all have in common is the idea of the spirit.
