And the complete lack of accountability by the people actually doing it marches on.

In a world where gun companies are viewed as responsible for gun violence this is a logical conclusion.

I’m surprised this same rationale hasn’t been applied to the automobile industry for everything from traffic tickets to accidents.

Honestly, don't disagree with him much on this one. Think how fast your comment concerning Covid would get you banned on some of these platforms. Just block or ban the people that start this sh*t and delete the posts or threads or whatever.

You fight these “teen takeovers” by not worrying about “optics” and letting the police be the police

If it's proven the platforms boost this delinquency shite because they make more money off of the juvenile eyeballs, it might be nice to scare them a bit.

Interesting. What can they do to regulate speech on social media that isn’t constitutionally protected?

That is like including the phone company in wire fraud indictment.

Start putting the "parents" in jail, and it might get addressed.

Seems like those same social media companies jumped at the chance to assist law enforcement in cracking down on boaters rafting up and partying on sandbars during covid.

The parents should be held responsible for every single penny of damages. Make the kids give up others involved to lower the burden per kid.
I just cannot wrap my head around my child being 1. Involved and 2. Not making him face the consequences, both at home and in the courts.

frick that, I had another talk last night with mine, and he kinda shed light on how these things happen.

We are clear if hes found participating..he loses phone privileges for year at minimum..simply reduced to a flip phone w NO apps. No vehicle. No allowance $. No party attendance, no sleepovers, no dances, etc etc etc. Nothing. School, study, workouts for athletics, and work.

I'm not worried honestly, but the conversations have to be had w kids...good luck to us all

FYI, even without a takeover, I'm starting to cut time on his social stuff (hes 8th grade)
