Nope. I am referring to the people that believe stuff like Hollywood and the democrat party being full of satan worshipping pedophile cannibals that eat babies and drink their blood for adrenochrome. There are a lot of them too.
I follow a lot of conservative pages on facebook like Breitbart , Ben Shapiro etc. They all had posts about Tom Hanks hosting the Biden inauguration thing. THere were literally thousands of comments claiming this type of stuff.

Honestly, you sound like part of the problem. Pretending to take some sort of moral high ground while rampaging hordes of ill informed leftist zombies take everything from you.

Of the 70-whatever million people who voted for Trump, how many do you think buy into that? The internet, especially the political internet, does not represent America.
And your post does the same thing the OP does; just call something ridiculous without defining what you're talking about. "You believe a ridiculous conspiracy theory" doesn't communicate anything other than you want to denigrate somebody.

All I am saying is anytime one of these celebrities is mentioned on social media every other comment is accusing them of being satanic pedophiles and when you say how ridiculous it is you are immediately called a liberal.

But that's not all you said.

"There are people on the right (or left or middle) who believe some crazy stuff" is not the same as "the majority of the Republican base eschews science, logic and common sense". If you meant the former then I don't disagree, but that's not what you said when you claimed that the OP was right. The OP is FOS who still hasn't offered any specifics, 4 pages later.

This isn't how we write in English. Improve your language skills before calling people idiots. The irony is hilarious though.

I said: A good portion of the conservative base has been hijacked by people who believe ridiculous conspiracy theories.
Do you disagree with that statement?

You also said the OP was right, and he claimed it was a majority. "Good portion" can mean anything, so I don't agree or disagree, and I also don't know what you consider ridiculous. A lot of people view the belief that widespread vote fraud occurred as ridiculous.
And it's not hijacking; they're not in control of anything. You could argue that Trump hijacked the GOP for 4 years, but someone who believes Tom Hanks is an alien isn't controlling anything within the GOP.

Where do we go from here? It seems that the majority of the Republican base eschews science, logic and common sense in favor of Facebook memes, online anonymous larpers, and YouTube videos. The uni-party Republicans in Washington govern no differently than the Democrats. I feel like the titular man without a country.
First....stop claiming yourself as a conservative. Trump was more liberal than Hillary Clinton despite the media's portrayal of him as some kind of radical right winger.
Put aside that crap for now. If you support free speech and art like memes and value your rights (such as the right to worship, trade stocks without market interference, or own guns.....you should correctly brand yourself as a liberal.
The problem is that a lot of Democrats that claim to be "liberal" are totalitarian jerks. They are nowhere near liberal. They hate freedom and love censorship. And they have allies in the establishment republican party and on wall street.
Most real liberals vote republican today as the lesser of two evils, but they aren't republican. Some of them even mistakenly call themselves conservatives because they align more with republicans at this current moment in time. They back outsiders (real or perceived) like Trump, Cruz, DeSantis, Sanders or Paul because the real threat to liberty is the uni-party, deep state, big tech, and wall street. The media sets both sides against each other over superficial social issues while they are all robbed blind.

In today's political climate these two are mutually exclusive. You either believe when the media and democrats call the truth conspiracy theories, or deductively reason through facts and logic to determine the truth. There used to be an in between. They blew that door wide open during this last cycle.

Why is critical thought so difficult for you guys?
The basis of critical thought is skepticism. I'd say those skeptical of your sincerity (including myself) understand it better than you.

I had such high hopes for this thread -- until I read the OP.

Conservatives are a decade or two behind being progressives.
We march forward with national socialism/populism or fascism. It is the only real path left for the right. Also the right has to quit calling leftists things fascist and start calling them what they really are, communists.
