Why wouldnt everyone want more government? They are the epitome of efficiency and responsible spending.

Why is government growing then? We're in more debt with less freedoms then ever before.

But we aren’t spending any less money.

If you are going to deficit spend it should at least be a jobs program.

Increasing spending while cutting jobs is retarded.

It is obvious that some clowns do not realize that some numbers are not because of the President's actions.

I am not reading all of this shite. I am 65. Do any of you halfwits know how many people within the my age to my age plus 5 range have been retiring lately?

In 2025 it was 11,400 a day.

Do you know what happens when someone retires? The opportunity is taken to review how the workload is distributed to see if a position can be cut without firing anybody. I saw that for at least 30 years before I retired.

Jesus Christ, you people's blind hatred of Donald Trump makes you look like total unrefined simpletons.

On one hand he is lazy or stupid or some other pejorative such that he cannot do anything. On the other hand he is responsible for EVERYTHING.

There is even another thread whining about a "Lid" tonight On a Friday evening of a holiday weekend.

oh the fricking horror

I don't hate Trump. I just don't understand the threads about OMG we got the size of government down and yet we are spending more than we ever have. My point has and always will be the average gov worker is not the issue. It's the people many on this board are cheering for only know how to spend and take away freedoms.

The sheep mentality on this issue is mind boggling

It's time to find a job in the private sector. If you are good at what you do, you will find a job. If you are used to sitting at a desk, twittling your thumbs, you will stay unemployed.

Exactly. Many on this board have been fooled into thinking that low level GS-5 clerical workers in the federal government are out to get them so they cheer these people losing their jobs which is the equivalent of a rounding error on a spreadsheet in regards to saving any meaningful money.

Less than five percent of the GS employees are GS-5. The average GS salary is just over $113,000. I cheer anyone losing a job that isn't needed and there are layers of the Fedgov that are in irrelevant jobs. Anyone that has worked in a federal office knows there are lot of people getting paid to do little.

Your figure is inflated and isn't the average age of a gov employee close to 50? Most people by that age after a long career is making close to 6 figures especially in an expensive area like DC. Also 100 grand is more like 70 now.

It came from the OPM website. Are you saying federal employees made a mistake?

You mean the same OPM that is trying hard to sell their actions? You are also proving my point. If it is a mistake who made it? The GS5 or the political appointee?

not for fiscal reasons what's the big cause to celebrate about a shrinking government workforce?

Because maybe, just maybe, the illiterate work force that we have to deal with every time we have to do something that has anything to do with government red tape will be whittled down to the smart people....and then we won't have to deal with retards taking up space, saying they have a job, and playing on their phones..

This adult daycare program was 100% funded by value taken from “society”, against society’s will.

Great. That won't even come close to putting a dent into the massive defense budget increases he is requesting.
