Well if she thinks she can force the executive to spend money in a way there is no law to do so, what’s keeping her from ruling that the democrats in the legislative must vote yes on to the CR and just reopen the government?

Say what you want the west coast, but MA is the most liberal, communistic state in the union. I can’t wait for the day they drive enough white collar business out of Boston through taxation that their economy collapses. They don’t produce anything tangible to prop them up

Until one of these activist judges gets removed from the bench, this will keep happening.

They continue to ignore the SCOTUS ruling on the limits of their jurisdiction, and try to force Trump to their will.

It’s embarrassing to the point of parody, but I don’t think the GOP has the numbers, or the balls, to impeach one.

It's not an emergency. It is a Democrat caused crisis but not an emergency. The judge could have just the same issues an order requiring the Democrat Senators to pass the CR to avoid the crisis.

Ordering the Senate to pass the CR is the same as ordering the govt to fund a program during a shutdown that does not fund the government.

Republicans should be nailing this point across the media to avert this judges ruling ahead of time.

The issue is that there aren't enough funds in the emergency fund to fully provide SNAP benefits. There is, supposedly, $5 billion in emergency funds but the total monthly cost for SNAP is close to $9 billion. Does Trump have to issue half funds to everyone? If so what about those who get the statutory minimum of $16 a month, it's illegal to issue less than $16 so you can't give them $8. If you give those people $16 and halve everyone else then there is a discrimination aspect to it. If you don't halve everyone then how do you decide who gets the benefits and who doesn't? Again, discriminatory.

There is no way to fund SNAP in November because of how many people in this country are reliant on daddy government to eat.
