Yes. The "more simple explanation" is this is related to the OP only in that these 119 fake ID's were generated in China.

E.g., Neither Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, Indiana, nor Illinois were swing states, as highlighted in the OP.

The OP also indicates confiscation of nearly 20,000 fake ID's, not 119.

Further, the CBP nitwit you cite seems to presuppose Chinese students here would be alcohol-enabled by Chinese/CCP handlers, and you apparently extrapolate that to 20K instances.

No, they’re neighbors. They aren’t twins.

One question is whether the FBI handled the intelligence properly. The other is whether the intelligence accurately described a Chinese plot to produce fraudulent Biden ballots.

A cover-up doesn’t prove the rumor. It proves there may have been a cover-up. The rumor still has to stand on its own evidence.
