Duh, the random poster on PoliBoard could have told you that the "old team" at the FBI was actively NOT trying to solve this.
If it really is true that the old team wasn't replaced immediately upon Patel and Bongino taking charge, they are incurably dumb...which I don't think.

I can let that slide. You can’t just pick a new team by lottery or seniority. Fresh conduct under new leadership needs to be considered before the cream can rise to the top.

It never even occurred to me that Baker had identified Shauni Kerkhoff through gait analysis. I just assumed that was a nice coincidence...and something they could put out to give cover to the insiders (DNI? FBI white hats?) who leaked her name to Baker.
I have been very impressed with Baker's ground breaking J6 reporting. I gave him the benefit of the doubt...and figured the threat of a defamation case...to credit his reporting that Kerkhoff was the person in the video.
We will see....
