Why did Rodgers have three semi-automatic handguns? Can you really use three at one for self-defense? I mean the NRA and conservative talking point is self-defense.

Why do you need more of one of anything? What a terrible point

Well you can only safety fire one handgun at a time. With either open carry laws or concealed weapons permits one is all you need in public.

What the frick is this dumb shite?
What does hunting have to do with home defense? Why have ammo locked up and not loaded for when you need it?

Criminals aren't going to give you a minute to go find it and load it.

Are you slow or something?

I understand you're being foolish to make a point, but have you ever had anyone break into your home when you were home? I have on two separate occasions while living in NOLA. If it happens while you're asleep it's nice to have one in your bed stand. If it happens while you're lounging watching TV in the living room in the front area of a shotgun home it's nice to have one under the sofa.

What a joke

I don't follow what point you're trying to make. Most people who carry only carry 1 gun at a time.

This kid had 3 handguns because he had the intention to murder people. He needed 3 because he could grab another one and start shooting once the other one was out of ammo.

Are you implying that we should only be allowed to own one gun?

I'd like to know as well. He's the chief supreme gun law maker now.

Yo, Martinez - your son died because of YOU. You either pushed for or supported gun control legislation in California or you stood by and did nothing. At the very least you allowed your family to reside in a state where they do not have the freedom to protect themselves thus leaving them exposed to those who aren’t impacted by laws. So YOU martinez kill your own son – deal with it and STFU

Bottom line is that crazy people are crazy and if they want to kill a bunch of people, there's no law that will stop them.

It's part of living in a "free" country.

No I am not slow. This is what we were taught in hunter safety classes that responsible parents had their children take and it was what we were taught.

I first fired a gun when I was ten by the way. So I am not some anti-gun nut. I am a gun owner by the way. I just keep my ammo separate from my guns under lock and key like responsible gun owners should do.

No, I own many rifles and shotguns. I just wonder why someone needs to have three loaded handguns on him driving around.

If you carry you handgun with you at all times which liberal gun carry laws are supposed to do do you need to have three hand guns with you at the same time?

I don't agree with him.

But when we had school prayer, you didn't see students shooting up their schools. Now we do. So yes, he can argue that point.

That's one of the most stupid posts on a board full of stupidity. It would suck if some idiot shot and killed your entire family.

This individual had three with him because he was plotting to kill people. Not hard to figure out.

Would three revolvers be safer?
Do you know what semi-automatic hand guns are?
Do you know how they function?

1760s
The earliest known United States shooting to happen on school property was the Pontiac's Rebellion school massacre on July 26, 1764, where four Lenape American Indians entered the schoolhouse near present-day Greencastle, Pennsylvania, shot and killed schoolmaster Enoch Brown, and killed nine or ten children (reports vary). Only three children survived.[1]

19th century
1850s
September 28, 1850: West Chester, Pennsylvania, At the Rocky Hill schoolhouse, students found their young teacher (about 18), Rachael Sharpless shot dead in the doorway of the school. George Pharoah, 19 years old, shot her while hiding behind a tree as she was unlocking the door. He used a copy of the Saturday Evening Post in a wad to muffle the sound, where parts of the magazine were found at the scene and in his pockets.[2]
November 2, 1853: Louisville, Kentucky, The student Matthew Ward bought a pistol in the morning, went to school and killed the schoolmaster Mr. Butler, as revenge for what Ward thought was excessive punishment of his brother the day before. Ward was acquitted.[3]
August 16, 1856: Florence, Alabama, The school master had a tame sparrow of which he was very fond, and had warned the students that if any of them killed it, they will die by his hands. By accident, or intentionally, one of the boys stepped on the bird and killed it. Alarmed by the threats, the boy was afraid to return to school, but the Master begged him to come back. He did so, and after the lessons were finished, he took the boy into a private room, and strangled him. Upon the boy's father hearing what had occurred, he loaded his gun and went and shot the schoolmaster dead.[4]
July 6, 1858: Baltimore, Maryland, the 15yr old son of Col. John T. Farlow (Baltimore's Marshal of Police 1867-70), was shot to death during a Sabbath School gathering. The perpetrator escaped, but several arrests were made.[5]
September 11, 1859: Oakland, California, Edward Carpenter accidentally shot himself dead while hunting on campus; he was one of the few students permitted to have a firearm at school.[6]
1860s
January 21, 1860: Todd County, Kentucky, A son of Col. Elijah Sebree was shot dead by another student. Young Sebree was threatening the other boy and intended to kill him. Whereupon he armed himself and walked deliberately up to Sebree, in the schoolhouse, and shot him dead.[7]
During the American Civil War (1861-1865), many atrocities were committed, even against school children, as reported in the Memphis Daily, Nashville Patriot, and the Raleigh Standard;
