the more i think about this story the more it pisses me off

these assholes actually went on the news for a pity party because they got $600 extra income on top of their already normal income but "lost" whatever SNAP benefits they were getting

they will be getting a $4400 stimulus check

there are families out there that actually have people who lost jobs, furloughed, taking salary cuts, etc. and getting a lot less (or no) stimulus money

these people deserve any and all mocking they get and i feel bad for their kids

It’s obvious the kicker never gets one. That’s why Bama kickers always underperform.

This story is complete bullshite. The $600 the goverment is giving extra as UE benefits does not count against your income. It's a stimulus. Also the $600 just started getting paid this week there is no way his SNAP benefits would have been impacted already.

How much is snap anyway? Up to 600 a week more puts them in the negative?

They weren’t married were they? So she probably still has it.

Hey backwoods, I’ve got a plan for you...

1) burn your Hank Williams Jr stuff. Cause evidently you can’t survive.

2) sell the ****ing Mustang GT before you cry about not being able to eat you freaking leech. I bet the note is current on it too.

3) I see property around you. Sell it. “Bu Bu Bu it was granddaddy’s!” Well. Then don’t eat.

4) don’t eat 5 meals a day like it appears you are doing.

5) that I phone the fiancé made the video on? Cut it off and go get a 30 dollar flip with minutes. Everything in the house that has a partially eaten apple on it hits EBay.

And call me back and let’s see how you are doing.

Makes you wonder what type of brand new 3 row SUV she has.

And, if she doesn't qualify for unemployment it's either because she wasn't working or was being paid under the table.

They don't look like they're living in a hovel and driving junk vehicles wearing Goodwill clothes.

Food stamps??...really?
Make better decisions as to what you spend your money on.
Just my opinion.

It's not just $600 it is $2600 a month (on average for the year) and they said the "extra money" is helping them pay bills so it is more than they previously made a month. The article constantly says "extra $600" to make it seem like that's a month, it's not. And that's on top of their normal UIB amount, not $600 a week total.

The other thing that pissed me off about this article was the mom saying that the kids are snacking all day and that is really emptying out their pantry. Ok, stop letting them snack all day. They can eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a small snack mid-afternoon. They will survive.

Fair enough...so she's getting paid for them by the father...right?
Not only that, but with both of them not working and being home, aren't they saving huge money on not needing daycare?

It's funny that you think they aren't getting state paid child care assistance. They probably pay, at most, $60 a month for child care

Good catch. Start making home cooked meals and stop feeding them fast food & junk food. Watch how little "the kids" need to snack all day

Not really funny at all. I don't know squat about those kind of programs.

They are required to report the income within ten days if the new income will put the total household income over the federal SNAP limit for their family size. In this case the limit for a family of 8 is 4705. If his unemployment is more than the limit the case will close.
