Fallout of Trump were to die in custody

If Trump died in custody, for any reason at all; I think we'd see an enormous amount of 'lone wolf' attacks, especially if any the first few are successful
If this happens the Gov't response will be key. If they clamp down on everyone and overreact they'll drive up support for such attacks and they'll get more numerousand more severe; if they handle these attacks in a "business as usual" approach they'll most likely eventually wind down as they lockup the perpetrators

It will be a period of restrained grief and sober, private mourning. That's the way Trump voters do things in this country, quietly, with dignity.

He'll be way better taken care of than he deserves. No matter, Mr. Trump is not going to do any time in any event and nor should he.
This is very much, we don't like him and we'll use anything we have to destroy the guy. He's a crackpot but doesn't deserve to be treated like he has been.

IF he's arrested, he'll basically do what's called a "walk-through". Show up with his attorney, get fingerprinted/photographed, post bond and walk out.

Most (all?) of the matters Trump is being investigated for are white collar in nature and generally don't result in significant prison sentences. Even if convicted Trump would serve very minimal time, if any.
The exception might be charges for J6. But I just don't see how a prosecution can criminally tie Trump into that. It would be tenuous at best.
