Facts on midterms

Over the last 50 years, the sitting president's party almost always loses congressional seats during midterm elections with rare exceptions.
Historical Averages
House of Representatives: The president's party loses an average of 26 to 27 House seats per midterm election according to historical analysis from PNC Financial Services and the Brookings Institution. When a president's job approval rating drops below 50%, average losses jump to 35 to 37 House seats based on tracking by Gallup Polling.
Senate: Senate outcomes are less predictable because only one-third of seats are up every two years, but the president's party loses an average of 3 to 4 Senate seats.
So if the Republicans lose the House and Senate, it is normal for midterms and expected given how tight the current margins are. If they somehow retain one or both houses, then the Democrats will have committed the biggest political chokejob in modern history.

How many times over the last 50 years has republicans won the popular vote, house, and senate?
2004 & 2024
Now Trump has the chance to be the only president to not lose them at primaries.

What changes for the Trump administration if the midterms go poorly?

Nothing but the board panicans will claim this as a victory against MAGA. It’s amazing so called right side Americans want to see this happen. Sad fricks.

Trump and a few cabinet Secretaries get impeached multiple times, Trump's family and businesses associates will be under constant investigation, and most importantly nothing Trump wants gets funded including his war with Iran.

If the midterms go poorly for the Republicans, then this country is lost for good. That would mean (cheating aside, which is going to happen) that there are more people out there that prefer communism. I know that there are a lot of let's call them lower intellectually challenged individuals out there, but I just cannot believe that this country would support a party that is telling you loudly what they are going to do to this country. It takes a lot of dumb to still support it, but then you remember Jim Jones and the People's Temple...that's what I think of Democrats that are supporting communism.

these never trumpers are actually dumber than Democrats. At least Democrats come right out and tell you they want communism now. The never trumpers want to destroy Trump and can't quite see that in doing so they are supporting communism. It is mind boggling.

That would be 1998 by the Republicans, following Clinton's impeachment. Democrats actually gained in both houses

I would be embarrassed to be a Democrat

not even close
Watergate concluded in 1974. The GOP was "destroyed". Carter and both chambers were controlled by dems.
The GOP picked up TWELVE senate seats in 1980.
HAHA - frick you
The democrats have NEVER had policies that actually WORKED. They only win when people get pissed off at the GOP for doing nothing.

That would be a critical assumed fallacy following the likely results of this year's elections. Nobody I know prefers communism.
What I do know in Texas is that most voters don't own businesses, they don't own huge blocks of stock in fortune 500 companies, and instead are living day to day trying to make ends meet. They simply don't like slimy, immoral candidates like Paxton and are fed up with Trump's second term which is going from bad to worse. Nobody embraces communism, at least not here

I'm fine with all of this, and it's why I've mentioned that Trump shouldn't have upset his base.
