I’ve said before, Trump could solidify himself as a founding father of the modern Republican Party by stepping back and throwing his weight behind the candidate who can best carry forward Trump’s platform/message. If he doesn’t, and gets the nom and loses the general again, he will go down as a flash in the pan who did more harm than good to the right.
