You can get Tbones at Winn Dixie this weekend for $5.99 lb, now ground meat will also cost you $5.99 lb

There is a reason it is cheap. It comes from old milked out dairy cows and range cows that have outlived their ability to raise a calf. Never eaten a drop of grain and taken straight off grass to the sale. Any marbling in these animals will taste rancid and no amount of cooking can cure it.

St Pauli Girl used to be $5.99 for a six pack. Now it’s over $9.00.

Danke, Brandon.

I was in Lowe's today and all the rolls of wiring 50 ft and greater had locked cables around them. Took forever to find someone to unlock one for me. There are really short on help.

And dried limas, too. Very reminiscent of my child support paying years.

rodent. Can't do it.
I grew up on squirrel stew, deer sausage and loin, dove, rabbit, quail, duck, catfish, red ears and white perch. Occasionally, we'd have alligator tail and deer sausage gumbo.

If God gave us Dominion over it, we ate it.

For some reason I eat a lot of boneless / skinless chicken thighs. I make a bunch at one time and then have leftovers for lunch, etc. I bought some at Albertsons last week and they were $10. For chicken thighs.

Absurd.

Let’s go Brandon indeed.

Here's a tip. You don't want rotten vegetables or rotten chicken or pork. But when steak is expired some stores sell it cheap because it looks bad and you must use it today or tomorrow. That's fine with steaks. As long as you don't eat it raw the expired stuff is very tasty and very tender.

Steaks were a luxury item in the 1960's, at least for ribeye, filet, and sirloin strip.

Shrimp, crab, oysters and crawfish were cheap much cheaper.

No ny strip steaks or ribeyes at my food lion anymore. Not even those tough as shite, very cheap steaks.

All I can choose from now is different weights of cube steak. And those shitty cube steaks are now as expensive as ribeyes used to be.

My aldis is even more dystopian than my food lion. It's rare for my aldis to even get chicken in stock now.

Here's a wake up call, all the inflation we had on food in 2021 will continue in 2022 with a rough estimate of over 2,000 items in a grocery store that will take another price increase.

Quaker foods/pepsico, General Mills, Campbells soup etc. It's not stopping b/c once one company does it, the others follow. These companies already raised prices. Some due to cost, some due to labor force.

And on top of that, if this mandate gets passed by SCOTUS game over.

Something has changed with beef cuts in the last 20 years.
Filet is still excellent but ribeye and sirloin are lower quality than in the past. Don't know why.

Yes the ranchers choice at Winn Dixie look good in the pack but have a different texture and overall taste weird

It’s like chewing on bubble gum when you eat ranchers choice

Oh we ate tons of squirrel when I was younger. We would fry it, make a thick gravy and put the squirrel back in and simmer it for a while. Served over rice. But, when I figured out they were a rodent (tree rat is a term of endearment that I use) I lost my taste for it. I love rabbit, too (if you can get past the smell while cleaning it). Do it the same way as the above. YUM!
I had some pineapple, jalapeño and cheese deer sausage from this year's kill. It sounds disgusting be is really good.
