You picked a poor example. The more egregious examples in 1984 included a reversal of the meaning. Better current examples would be, “Diversity is our strength” or “Black people built this nation”. “Kinetic action” is a pretentious euphemism, but it has the virtue of being literally accurate.

You should have quoted the post to which you responded. I was about to chastise you, when I realized this was in response to the suggestion to do install a Bukele.
I really don’t think that will be necessary in Venezuela. We can simply install the rightfully elected President, support her with a security team for a short while, then back out and let Venezuela’s historically strong institutions take over. Hopefully they learned a lesson about using the oil wealth to build infrastructure instead of just stealing it.
