I see people freaking out about it, and haven’t really followed it.

Has it been passed through Congress? Is it a bill that’s going to be voted on? Or just merely talk/proposal by Biden at this point?

I know Schumer spoke about using reconciliation more than once in a year. Can this be challenged in court?

I really don’t need a tax increase. Just bought a new truck and less monthly income would squeeze me pretty good

This tells me your income taxes aren’t likely to go up

And care not for the troops protecting our country. That money will be spent on diversity, inclusion, and equity.

I read something the other day that they can only get one bill passed through reconciliation per year. They've already blown their wad on the first trillion dollar payoff to their donors and cronies. And, the only way this bill passes is through reconciliation.

The Dims have appealed to the Parliamentarian to waive this rule but it is unlikely he/she/they will.

So, it might be something that they'll have to wait until January 1, 2022 to force through. Of course, realizing that they'll only get one more shot before the next Congressional elections, they'll add another $5-10 Trillion to pay off their donors and sycophants and rig election with.

“This tells me your taxes probably won’t go up.”

They want to raise the corporate tax rate. Every penny of increased taxes the corporations have to pay you will pay in increased taxes.

If they raise the corporate taxes on Kraft 10% then the price of every Kraft item goes up 10%.

Maybe not. But if you buy a product made by a corporation, you will pay more for it.

you think these corporations are going to just match the tax increase? If taxes go up 10%, prices will go up 20%.

He mentioned his income decreasing, not his expenses going up. If baw is buying trucks, making payments and close to being squeezed due to it, he’s gonna need to get the store brand and not Kraft.

Dem social engineering does a lot of harm, but hey, they do secure their voting plantation with it.

I really hope some Dem senator "McCain's" this bill. There's got to be some moderate Dem facing a tough 2022 reelection who the GOP can pick off.

They’ve actually passed two bills using reconciliation already. The used reconciliation to pass the Paycheck Protection Program extension.

EDIT: I was wrong about this.

Joe is going to raise taxes, eliminate exemptions and incentives for businesses, and then all the progressives will cry about evil capitalists when the businesses Trump brought back to the US leave and take their widget-making business back to China.
