People can be right or wrong without such childish labeling no?

Is it such that anyone with a different view from you gets labeled by you?

Then explain to me why your authoritarianism is less scary than their authoritarianism.

Now that the veil is off and people in this thread aren't being coy about wanting authoritarianism, sell me on you side, because the scariest authoritarians I've ever personally experienced were Religious/conservative ones.

I can't speak for everyone in this thread, but I will speak for myself and what I believe to be the majority opinion on the right.

No one wants authoritarianism. You are mistaking the desire for government leaders to use rightful justice as some form of overreaching tyranny. We are not anarchists, we do believe in some government, just limited. Limited does not necessarily mean weak, but just limited in scope. We need government to enforce justice, and "get the bad guys". Otherwise we will be living in some uncivilized Wild West society where the guy with biggest gun takes over and rules with an iron fist.

We need government to be decentralized and balanced. We need competing government branches and levels, we don't want them to be friends and cooperate.

Here's an example, Texas or Arizona can look at the completely broken border, and decide upon themselves to fix it. And not wait for the federal government (who is enabling and actually creating the problem). Or in the instance of these drag show things with kids, just send in state troopers and arrest these perverts. That is proper use of government and justice.

My fear is that if the Republican party continues to shy away from using the tools they have been provided to fix these issues, we will eventually get to the point where things pop off and who knows where that goes. It is necessary for the right to get things back in order by peaceful but assertive measures now, or otherwise our children will be fighting in not so peaceful ways in the future.

Yeah. I was hammering that point home. A relatively reclusive culture probably isn’t the best example for you to try to pretend about the dangers of a theocracy boogeyman.

I'm fine with labeling.

I'm not a fan of a binary in/out group dynamic (and any labeling that comes as a result of that).

I google searched for a picture of traditional Pentecostal women, and they look like the Apostolic I have interacted with

And Apostolics and Pentecostals are not a recluse culture where I live (as well as many of the posters on this site).

If I wanted to go troll, I'd have used the FLDS

or Fantasy porn

Because its effective. And because if we don’t do it to them they will do it to us. You have to do some less that admiral things sometimes when trying to usurp a tyrant. Once you regain control then you implement policies which would prevent anyone from going down that road again.

Absolutely not, but people ITT are.

Separate from the Progressives. You'll never be able to govern then. You are advocating using their tactics, after crying about their tactics for years.

Progressives are retarded, why do y'all want to imitate them?

You gotta let go of shite and move forward, realize you can't change the system and do your best to opt out as much as possible.

Yeah.

Not scary at all.

Especially since religion is such a central part of this perceived in-group

But it doesn't lead to productive change, it just enlarges the damage "democracy" can do.

You hate the opposition, yet want to emulate them.

I find it odd that the most hedonistic GOP president ever, who has openly praised and shown support for for the lgbtq community, and said the Dobbs decision was politically bad for Republicans is somehow supposed to be the leader of the fight for traditional values. Most of this happened under his watch or because he lost 2020 to a dementia patient.

The decadence in society is too entrenched to change, either left or right.

Success and comfort breed insanity. If you want to get rid of the corruption, you have to separate yourself from pop culture and let them have it.
