A former Navy sailor who is one of five people to receive a pardon from President Donald Trump is planning to file a lawsuit against Obama administration officials, alleging that he was subject to unequal protection of the law.

Specifically, Kristian Saucier, who served a year in federal prison for taking photos of classified sections of the submarine on which he worked, argues that the same officials who meted out punishment to him for his actions chose to be lenient with Hillary Clinton in her use of a private email server and handling of classified information.

His lawyer, Ronald Daigle, told Fox News on Monday that the lawsuit, which he expects to file soon in Manhattan, will name the U.S. Department of Justice, former FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama as defendants, among others.

“They interpreted the law in my case to say it was criminal,” Saucier told Fox News, referring to prosecuting authorities in his case, “but they didn’t prosecute Hillary Clinton. Hillary is still walking free. Two guys on my ship did the same thing and weren’t treated as criminals. We want them to correct the wrong.”

Daigle said that a notice about the pending lawsuit was sent to the Department of Justice and others included in it in December. There is usually a six-month period that must lapse before the lawsuit actually is filed.

“We’ll highlight the differences in the way Hillary Clinton was prosecuted and how my client was prosecuted,” Daigle said. “We’re seeking to cast a light on this to show that there’s a two-tier justice system and we want it to be corrected.”

While campaigning, and after taking office, Trump frequently voiced support for Saucier, who in March became the second person he pardoned.

Trump often compared the Obama administration’s handling of Saucier’s case with that of Clinton.

Other sailors took pictures of the same areas of the sub and were not prosecuted. But it was reported that Saucier failed to cooperation with investigators (tried to destroy evidence that he had shared the pictures, after he had claimed he had not), and that was a factor in whether he was prosecuted.

I'm always thrown off by these New England Acadiens.

I was wondering where in Louisiana these boys were from till I clicked on the article.

Hillary and friends destroyed and “lost” lots of evidence too. We should be fighting for her to face justice as this sailor did. He served his time, so him being pardoned doesn’t bother me. And isn’t a case like his something that is usually handled in military tribunals? He had a felony conviction so couldn’t find work. That wouldn’t have been the case if tried through military, right?

Either way, I don’t have a problem with the President pardoning him since it does put the spotlight on Hillary’s crimes, and he already served his time.

Just a refresher on Hillary’s destroyed evidence:
Her personal apple server with work emails was never turned over to the FBI

Her MacBook And thumb drive with email archive was “lost”

2 blackberry devices were turned over but without data cards or SD Sim cards

13 of Hillary’s personal mobile devices were lost, discarded, or destroyed with a hammer (yes this is really in the FBI report)

Various server backups were deleted so the FBI couldn’t examine that

After State Dept and Gowdy told her they would be looking into Benghazi, Cheryl Mills & Heather Samuelson, Hillary’s attorneys, used bleach byt to wipe clean copies of Hillary’s emails from their laptops

After Hillary’s emails were officially subpoenaed, her email archive was wiped clean with bleach byt from the Platt River server network

Also after the subpoenas, backups of the platt River server were manually deleted

So even if the FBI would have wanted to truly investigate (they didn’t), Hillary and cronies made it difficult to do so due to LOTS of destroyed evidence

Again, 2 wrongs don’t make a right. But I can’t blame him for wanting her to serve her time and for questioning why he was tried outstde of the military.

So you can take top.secret photos and not be prosecuted as long as you admit yo sharing them?

Great!

Sounds like a good case for him.
