The elections decided by NYC area voters, and D.C. area voters? You think those are elections conservatives were going to win?

I didnt realize the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia was DC, where democrats made huge gains

Keep denying the fact that this administration is dropping the ball. I bet when the democrats easily win in 2026 that you will dismiss it all as cheating im sure

DEMS will win the midterms, sad but true....

The USA is turning bluer by the second! The Trump era may be the last hurrah for the real conservatives.....It happens in every country because most people are lazy and want free money, period.

I would be shocked if there was a notable population of these people. I also wouldn't care because outside of Staten Island, there aren't any seats to be had in NYC for the GOP.

Idk man, my wife and her friends were yapping excitedly just yesterday about how much cheaper Thanksgiving is this year. The tide is changing a bit on this, but still a long way to go.

It's history. An incoming president makes a bunch of promises that mouth breather voters think are going to magically happen in the first two years.
quote:

If that is the case, then voters over the past 80 years have generally not been impressed with their elected presidents, as results of past midterm elections show the party in power almost always loses seats in either the House of Representatives or Senate (and usually both).

It's like an hour to 1.5 hrs from Alexandria and the D.C. area. Those are bedroom communities for D.C.. I bet a bunch of fed gov workers that work in D.C. and work remotely or hybrid-remotely moved to that area over the last 3 to four years. Especially those working remotely or hybrid remotely that don't make large salaries and wanted to live somewhere affordable. There are people who live in West Virginia and commute to their jobs in D.C.. I know, because I had friends who did it.

Edit: I just Googled it... There HAS been a large influx of people who moved there from D.C. over the last few years... AND there has been a large latin population move there as well. Nerd.

This was the source of a fair bit of DOGE vitriol. My aunt moved two hours from her job in Seattle or Spokane and was heartbroken about RTO.

In 2017 my old job suddenly announced that anyone that wished to remain employed needed to live in one of four cities in the country, even if their teams weren't in that city. It's not like its unprecedented.

Yep. I guess I was living under a rock previously, but in just the last 6 months I've come to realize that our entire government is a wholly owned subsidiary of foreign interests, primarily China and Israel.

You misunderstand. These kids were already voting Republican.

Wrong. The membership and participation in TPUSA has exploded. They have GROWN exponentially a younger conservative voter base. Many of those kids have left the Democrat party.

As a result of the assassination. Not because of anything Trump has done.

So again, most of these kids were already voting Republican. What happened to Kirk just motivated them to get more involved.

Actually the GOP are losing independents and moderates and people over 60. The youth are much more likely to vote GOP at this moment. Boomers are the biggest anti-Trumpers demo out there

You’re on drugs if you think Dems aren’t taking the house.

Everything else you wrote is also jibberish.

The 2024 vote says differently.

Youre just seeing old people protest because they have the time.

NY Republicans did well in 2022 midterms and won 3 seats that prevented Democrats from taking over the House .

In 2024, men under 50 were divided in their preferences: 49% voted for Trump, while 48% supported Harris. By contrast, in 2020, Biden won men under 50 by 10 points (53% to 43%).
