Why bother? Let it California clean this up if they want to have this mess.
It is pointless to continue with the charade that Red America and Blue America are going to find common political ground.
These fr*ckers can’t even articulate what defines a woman.
We need some sort of mutually agreed upon political separation.

For those of us around during Katrina the conservatives at the time agreed with this logic. Bush got a lot of criticism for not deploying the national guard and everyone blamed Blanco because they said Bush needed her authority to deploy the national guard. Now everyone will pretend they didn't hold that opinion of course but that's what the reality was.
The national guard was deployed. 50,000.

The National Guard's response to Katrina was widely praised as a "finest hour" for the Guard, with many National Guard.mil personnel saving lives and contributing significantly to the relief efforts.
quote:
Before Katrina hit, the Louisiana National Guard and Mississippi National Guard were activated by their respective governors (Kathleen Blanco for Louisiana and Haley Barbour for Mississippi). In Louisiana, Governor Blanco declared a state of emergency on August 26, 2005, and mobilized the National Guard to prepare for the storm, including setting up shelters and staging rescue operations.
The after the storm issue wasn’t the national guard. It was the slow response from FEMA.

Cool, no federal money to rebuild when the town is left to rubble.

This shite is a clown show. I saw a man throw a frozen water bottle at the head of an LA police officer patrolling the streets.
