I think it would be smart of trump to do something socially progressive for gay rights while he's fighting all these other fronts, but if it was going to be anti gay I'm glad it's tabled. Gays adopt kids that nobody else will - that along with gentrification are two huge contributions that gays make all over America.

Agree. Even if it doesn't break new ground in LGBTQ favor (though I do think you have to do SOMETHING, as to not appear to simply be appeasing), just an EO reassuring the rights of all citizens as equal would allow them to move on now from their Pence fears, early in the Presidency, leaving time for LGBTQ alignment with non-social Conservative policies that they do agree with before 2020 (terrorism, jobs).

He's going to disrupt the news cycle tomorrow night anyway, so why bother tonight with a loser of an issue? Especially one he hasn't shown much concern for?
