But I think we're seeing in real time - to the confusion and dismay of our most absolutist Trump loyalists - that Elon represents that first term Trump attitude. The outsider, don't compromise, read the bill, common sense attitude.
And they're clearly struggling with it in other threads as this board (which is super MAGA) isn't lining up against Elon.
I don't think it's about Elon the guy, I think it's what he represents to the movement at this point - sticking to your word, not getting bogged down in the swamp, etc.

My comment was about Elon... BUT
So what is your tactic then? Trump dig his heels in unless he gets 100% of what he wants from a GOPe led Congress, which will never happen? All or nothing is what you think is best for the country? That's what people voted for Trump for? To be a "principled," contrarian yet ineffective leader who get's NOTHING done? At a time when our nation is hurting and needs a leader who gets things done?
It's 4 months... We have four years to address plenty of shite in the longer-term. Everyone acting like this one bill is the be-all, end-all of everything.

Ok? I agree that he fully supports this bill. I was responding to someone claiming he was "siding" with RINOs. That simply isn't the case. People are either "siding" with Trump on this, or they aren't. He's clearly taking the lead on this.
