Most business owners should stay away from politics. In case no one has caught on, politics is bad for business.
But if anyone can get away with doing it, it's Elon Musk. I seriously doubt he'll be hurting in the long run from all of this.
Also, I don't recall Amazon or Facebook tanking simply because they made policy decisions or statements that were political in nature just because conservatives didn't care much about them.
There are definitely two America's and double standards that even as a moderate myself I cannot ignore.

Because the stock price will eventually be based on fundamentals. These kind of ephemeral ups and downs will not matter weeks later.
