Again NAFO you failed reading comprehension. He wasn't taking off under false pretenses. He was leaving work for an hour while still on the clock to show a house. Having other RTs cover his patients for a hour is a patient safety issue.

What a stupid argument for WFH. Some jobs require in person so it's morally wrong for jobs that don't to work at home? What a dip shite

Eh, you could make an argument for certain office jobs that you aren't paying to control their location for 8 hours or so per day, you're paying for what they can do when you need it.
Do I care if my network admin spent his core hours in office all week when they're nowhere to be found outside of core hours and there is a network issue affecting your product?
In my opinion, I don't care if you work from home as long as you are responsive and productive. I see it as paying for skills and availability. I don't give a shite if you work on the stuff at 3 AM as long as it is done in time to deliver to the internal or external party.

Is he paid hourly? Who is his supervisor?

If he was out sick would other RTs cover or is that not a safety issue?

How was he working from home while seeing patients in an office?

Exactly how it should be. Businesses decide, not the government. You must agree with me as your examples were all of actual businesses deciding how they are managing their workforce, not the government.

My WFH trade off is that I don't turn off my laptop end of day and I'm available to call almost anytime if anyone needs my assistance. Plus I'm in an oncall rotation and might be up a time or 2 during the night.
If I go in you can forget me being available after hours. I'm not going home and turning it back on.
You just sound jealous because you're not skilled enough to find a job that allows you any freedom.

Are you stupid? If he was out sick another RT would be called in or a agency RT would be called in. The same patient safety ratios would be maintained. Totally different when he leaves during the middle of his shift.

Oh I thought this was about WFH...so you have these same problems in office and WFH is unrelated?
Doesn't sound like an argument against WFH at all. Maybe more like whoever manages this place is a dunce.

Where did he leave from? The office?

I mean basically. He was leaving the hospital and his patients to go show a house to his real estate buyer while still being on the clock.

That's the exact opposite. I went into a profession where I only work 36 hours a week and make 150k a year. I can work anywhere I want in America. I just can't stand fraudsters running to the grocery store and gym while on the clock

PT board going to be lonely 9-5 M-F if posters have to return to their corporate cubicles

Are you still hourly?

Is this disdain for only hourly people? As a salary employee I don't see why it matters what time I plan activities in my day.
