Elon Musk is the best thing to happen to the Republican Party in my lifetime.

The guy owns the biggest free speech platform in the world and has enough money to destroy any politician that thinks they don’t have to answer to the public.

Between X and his billions, he is the biggest threat to the uniparty, especially the RINOs.

It’s fricking glorious. Finally, we have found a way to make Republicans accountable. No longer can they just be accountable to the Chamber of Commerce and the military industrial complex.

Thank you Elon.

I’d argue he has more power than Trump over RINOs.

Trump has the rhetoric, but Elon has the money and rhetoric to really destroy them.

Maybe Trump has the “power” to destroy his enemies within the party now, but he certainly didn’t in his first term.

We the people have the power. Musk is willing and able to call out the bullshite and make it visible to us, the voters.

True to an extent, but now we have Elon’s money and X to back up our threats.

Before Elon, incumbent politicians were dependent on the party and lobbyists to mostly fund their campaigns, so they did as they were told.

Now, we have someone who can outspend those influences and use X to destroy them.

Whole new ballgame.

Just look at the outrage by voters aimed at the Republican Senators that initially opposed Trump’s cabinet picks. They immediately reversed course.

Same thing with the Congressman and this CR.

I don’t think this would be as effective if not backed up by Elon’s threats to primary them though. Primary threats never worked before because they knew they could raise enough money to win from special interests.

Take away your political lean for a moment…

How is the richest person in the world that controls one of the largest publications on earth and has huge government contracts and has been appointed to governmental post a good thing?

This is the kind of thing I would expect to read about Russia. “Russian Oligarch takes control of government before party takes power and shuts down government the week before Christmas.”

Again, put your politics aside and how is this a good thing? How would you respond if he did this when Obama took office? How would you feel if Bezos comes in with the next Democratic presidents and pushes people around. How is this not the elitist controlling the government instead of the politicians the people elected to do so and are accountable to their voters?

That’s what we have currently. Lobbyists control our politicians.

Now, we have a benevolent billionaire to counter them.

Cope.

Elon has no peers. Nobody would listen to Bezos. Elon isn't like Bezos or any of the other WEF globalist trash.
Elon isn't pushing anyone around, he simply stating his opinion and his billion plus followers see it.
Apart from the above, what has he said or done that you disagree with?
He's in the right. IF a Dem president had an influential billionaire on his side and he correctly called out the DC bullshite, I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I've seen a pattern with celebrities who were either left wing or not political who have moved to the right in the last few years. Their big motive was free speech. The leftists I grew up with in the 60s were very pro free speech. Something changed. I think that today's leftists realize that you cannot have a communist utopia with free speech allowed.

Musk buying Twitter was the most important event since Joe became President.
It gave all freedom lovers, as well as Leftists, a view of the truth. MSM, the greatest threat to "Our Democracy", was defeated.
Once again freedom of speech has been liberated.

All fun and games and glorious until Elon decides you are the problem.

We have given up too much control. It's like the militarization of the police. It's great to protect us until the government decides we are the enemy. Now the thing we once supported is against us. (This is an example)

Elon is for free speech which is great. For now. But we are really putting all our eggs in one basket whose self-interest may not align with ours in 20 years.

We dont really know.
