And then the Middle East was ruined by the British and the French at the end of World War 1 and the discovery of oil in 1905. That part literally had nothing to do with religion.

I would definitely say that the way we live is more comfortable and constructive for sure. I wouldn't blame that on anything inherent or religious specifically though.

You know in some ways you're not as patriotic as you think. The fact that you don't have face that we will never lose that is a little disturbing to me. People like you have been spewing this crap for generations and here we are still doing okay as we keep progressing. If you believe how Superior product is then you have no reason to worry. The greater public-at-large is not going to give that up.

It's fact. The "rich" are doing okay everywhere. That's not the distinction (although we have FAR, FAR more "rich" folks than outside the West - and yes, most of those folks earned it.)
The "poor" in the West live better than the rich in the West lived just 50 or 60 years ago. That's undisputable, no?
How are the poor doing in Latin America? SE Asia? SW Asia? Africa?

Question. Do LGBT folks just imagine that churches get together on Sundays to talk about how much they hate gay folks and how they want to see them all burn and die?
I only ask because im an avid church goer. But ive maybe heard homosexuality be seriously talked about like once in my life, but that wasnt even the main point of the sermon, just a supporting detail.

Anyone who thinks Christ would be ok with an active homosexual lifestyle is being willfully ignorant.

These progressives who try to debate otherwise are always comical.
If one really wants to debate that western civilization and culture isn't superior, at the very beginning of the discussion, by default, for starters exclude from the discussion any culture where female genital mutilation is still practiced. That eliminates a huge chunk of Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. To put those on the same plane as the west is pure stupidity.

That's what we do at my church. I can't tell you the number of times that our pastor has said "Today, I was going to preach about such and such, but dang if I don't hate the gays. I'll think I'll preach about them instead." And in the halls, you can hear people talking to each other about how much they hate the gays. The coffee girl even tells you to "have a nice day and remember, hate the gays" when she gives you your coffee.

I hate to say it but you're probably right. I follow him on Instagram. The guy is religious and has a sheep farm and hunts. You can see him harvesting the wool and typical farm duties. He use to be a waiter at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Factory. Bottomline is he's a very down to earth guy and definitely not a typical actor.
Basically he's a good human being and Hollywood isn't kind to those people. Pedophiles and loonies on the hand....well we all know.
