So you agree with SDV then that Bush didn’t do that.

I never stated Bush nor any other politician forced people to drive an electric car

This seems to be an EV hate thread

If you want to pile on politicians Bush should be at the top of your list

Great. You agree with him. That’s not so hard now is it?

Now, my friend with zero self awareness,

We’re going to ignore the fact that Biden signed an Executive Order to mandate half of all cars sold in 2030 have to be electric or similar?

Powerbottom is a weirdo. That’s why he brings up Bush.

It deflects from the failings of his boy, Biden.

He deserves some of the blame. But he didn’t mandate the end of the ICE.

Well lithium and water don’t mix. Cracked battery housing then exposure to water is a dangerous combination

It's a goal and not a mandate that can be enforced

Bingo. This has nothing to do with corrosion as noted in the article. The cell housings have been breached and water intrusion takes it from there. I'd imagine this is in cars that were flooded and floated or were pushed into stationary structures or possibly even had previous wreck damage.

All of your "gotcha" moments seem to rely on ancient History.

First in was 1830's Inquisition bullshite, now it's George fking Bush....

Maybe you should log off the Internet.

Isn't California in the process of banning the sale of ICE cars in the near future? And to be fair SDVTiger is from California.

This actually happened to several ICE vehicles as well, it’s not specific to EV. It has to do with the saltwater surge since the salt makes for a better conductor of electricity.

Soaking any 12V system in a car will likely cause a fire.

The GWB administration is ancient history?

FFS man if you don't understand what got us to this point you have nothing to add to the conversation. The Bush administration was a huge catalyst for the EV movement.

IMO it only makes sense to have one if you have a single family home with a garage and an intermediate charger setup in your garage

Relying on public charging is a fool's errand at this point

Charging locations done mean anything when there isnt enough power being generated. Before we try to move to EV we need to build a lot more power plants and add more transmission lines.

Nuclear power is the way to go.
