The Compromise between the left's desire for massive government growth and the right's desire to slightly contract government is slight government growth.
How is the right ever suppose to ever actually narrow the scope of government if they're expected to perpetually compromise with extremists ?

Voters want to end gridlock.
So they set up conditions that will bring more of it.

I work with a 55 year-old SJW who is the epitome of a left-wing kook. Believe it or not, her biggest regret in life is that she barely missed coming of age in the turbulent 1960's. I wish I had $20 bucks for everytime I've heard her say, "If I had been older then, they would've had to shoot me."
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had with her Wednesday-Friday. She was in full meltdown mode after Tuesday night.
This thread made me think about her, because we had both taken a late lunch on Wednesday to watch Obama's PC. Later, she told me something like, "How generous of President Obama to offer to work with those assholes." I reminded her that Obama, after he had won the Presidency, had laughed at the Republicans and told them that "elections have consequences." I said, "Now,6 YEARS LATER, you're impressed that he wants to compromise?"
She didn't say a word, just got up and left the room.
Silly libtards.

You forgot to remind her of his pen and phone.

Well, there's always Monday
Not worried about her today, though. Today is Beat Bama Day

I thought this election showed that the sheople don't show up for midterms, voter fraud wasn't sufficient and dem voters were suppressed.

Many have said that the results show that Americans are tired of gridlock and want to see both sides work together.
We don't need pundits to decipher what the voters were saying. The voters were asked directly in exit interviews. The number one answer given to the pollsters was "my vote was a repudiation of Obama's administration."
"A compromise between poison and food equals death." ... Ayn Rand

When a Democrat says "bipartisan" or "work together" what they mean is Republicans joining Democrats to pass the Democrat agenda.
I fully hope and expect the Repubes to totally ignore the wishes of Democrats. Exclude the Democrats, give them zero or less voice in the legislative agenda.
Pass a bill to completely repeal ObamaCare. Let Obama veto it. Let the Dem's vote against it. It will once again show the nation what the Dems are.
Deny funding for Obama's illegal actions.
Abolish the Dept of Education. Slash the EPAs budget. Slash, slash, slash.
It won't happen though. Repubes in charge are too liberal and/or scared.

This is how you compromise with Liberals (ie: sociopaths):

Harry Reid made certain obama was protected from this kind of bill. Now its time to put him on the record.

I've seen more than just handful of media members on the left say this in spinning the election results.
Funny how the last election they told us was a "mandate from the people."
