I gotta say JBE has done a damn good job so far, especially considering what he was left with after Jindal.
A good job of what?
The size of the state government and state budget grew by seven billion and what do we have to show for it?
An economy that has shrunk and is worse than any economy Jindal had.
70,000 people have left this state for a better life and will likely top 100,000 before the end of this gubernatorial term and we could lose a house seat in DC over this; Jindal never had outmigration numbers that bad.
Infrastructure is still shite with the biggest example of the Nola Airport clusterfrick.
Economic development? We're celebrating a fricking pie factory coming back to New Orleans like Amazon just relocated here.
Education? JBE is bribing teachers to support his reelection for a pay raise they could get if he wins and that's after Louisiana has remained in the bottom 5 for education rankings nationally.
And now we have some of the highest tax rates with absolutely nothing positive to show for it but more misery.
JBE is a mirage that is lying to you by pissing on your back and calling it rain.

JBE prevented billions of plant expansions here.

well, if you’re a creepy trial lawyer, then yes, you’re doing great.

What a bunch of politically correct nonsense
Lolz. PC? The only part of me offended by his commercials is my intelligence . "Here's me bow hunting. Here I am standing in front of a Bible. You see. I praaaaaay. frick illegal immigrants. Look at my Trump bumper sticker. I'm an outsider."
It's literally 30 seconds of him saying key phrases directed at rednecks!
And I am a trump voter and supporter. But I'd never vote for that phony imbecile. We deserve a better brand of conservative in this state.

Eddie has a very strong chance to the second coming of Mike Foster. Perhaps an even better version of him.
Anyone see the Anti-Rispone ad about how he boasts about illegal immigrants but still hires them and the lawsuits.
Gumbo PAC is trying to torpedo the Republican opposition early on. They even have one for Abraham about promising to donate his congressional salary to charity.
They must be scared the JBE could be floundering early on or they have more dirt incoming.

The only way to make sure you don't hire illegal aliens is to completely discriminate against hispanics and other brown looking people and I'm pretty sure that won't fly, especially in court and the relevant regulatory agencies.

Remember who JBE's owners are.....

That one was already debunked a long time ago. And there's this.... Facebook
But dishonest ambulance chasers are dishonest ambulance chasers.

There's not a single person or group of them that could ever turn Louisiana around.

Does the runoff turnout even come close to the jungle primary turnout?
Posted on 8/14/19 at 9:59 pm to Sentrius
Gumbopac is talking about him, too. Gave him a nice handle, Phoney Rispone.

I heard good things about rispone a few months ago. I'm bigly MAGA but the trump coattailing commercial I saw on tv was very underwhelming.

GumboPAC is such trash.
JBE polling in low 40’s. We’re not even to September and they’re getting desperate.

So after 2 years of being board, he's going to let 2 staffers run the show and check out?

You leave Hubig's out of this...
But seriously JBE even screwed that up. LED signed off on a loan guarantee and 5 min later JBE is calling a presser saying Hubig's is back. Meanwhile, the Hubig's people are still scoping sites and haven't yet fully committed.

I was quoting Rispone from his ads. That line is in every single one of his ads I’ve seen or heard so far
Posted on 8/14/19 at 11:00 pm to atllsu
I will have to look into him further to get the stank of these super cringy condescending commercials off him. I suspect most won't do that. He's made his first impression already.

Abraham is the real deal and our best chance of putting a Republican in the Governor's mansion. Sorry Eddie.

His ads sound like every other canned Republican ad that spouts talking points that they never plan on keeping or have no authority to keep. Plus he sounds like an annoying Ross Perot.

Probably not, most local 2 person races will be decided in the primary. So the run off will be a thin ballot for most with maybe one or 2 local races and runoff for Governor.
Also, I believe LSU has home games for both the primary and runoffs.
I know Saturday elections have been our tradition, but I am for moving it to Tuesday and forcing 2 person races to the general election instead of having them decided in the primary. That way the turnout can be higher.

There won't be a runoff because JBE is going to win easily. Not that it's the result I want, but if the Republicans had better candidates it wouldn't be the case.
