You can vote a week early, sometimes even two weeks early. Assign dates and stagger people to a certain voting period, have it all counted on November 3rd.

This way, it’s in person, we can verify the voter is actually registered, alive, and the person they are claiming to be.

What’s so difficult about this?

People are out and about constantly rioting in the streets, having large funerals for celebrities, etc. What’s the problem with waiting in a 6-10 person line to vote early in person?

If you stand in line to buy a lottree ticket, you can vote.

I encourage all Trump voters to vote in person.

Biden supporters should use the mail.

Because in-person voting requires you to go in-person when mail-in voting does not. Why would you think early voting is a substitute for mail-in?

Saying people go to WalMart, they can go vote is the dumbest argument ever. Nobody MAKES you go to WalMart, but they MAKE you go vote (if you want to vote). Anyone who tries to uses that argument is a dumbass.

Please don’t mistake my common sense thinking for being in favor of mail-in voting. I’m 100% against it. But, I’m also smart enough not to use stupid arguments.

If you cannot vote in person, vote absentee.

The point is, if you can go to Walmart you can go vote. The fact that you choose to go to Walmart does not disqualify the argument but actually enhances it.

Voting is something everyone should be able to do - it’s a right. Going to a private business or getting a medical test isn’t something every citizen should be able to do - it’s not a right. The 2 aren’t comparable. So stop using stupid arguments like if you can wait in line at the snowball stand, you can wait in line at the polling place.

Yes, absentee voting is the answer (requesting a ballot be sent to you). No, voting by mail should not be allowed (when a ballot is sent to everyone).

It's a damn shame you had to explain that to him.

I've already voted once during this pandemic, and I survived it. I will put on a mask and walk into the polling station again on November 3rd.

Are we to believe that there’s a significant portion of the population that haven’t left their homes for anything since March? And this same group is incapable of voting absentee (properly)?

The point that you fail to grasp is that the examples we are using are satire and demonstrate the fact

THAT YOU CAN STILL VOTE IN PERSON BECAUSE COVID ISNT THAT BAD TO STOP YOU FROM SHOWING UP TO THE POLLS.

Go look up the word SATIRE and get back with us...

Why couldn't they open the polls 4 weeks early just for this election cycle? Is there a valid reason not to?

Exactly. Voting in person could take less time than it does to go to Walmart, where you will be closer to many more people

The cost. And polling places are at churches and schools. You can’t find enough volunteers to staff polling places for 2 weeks. This is why early voting happens at the clerk of court and other state offices, they have employees there in 1 place, not spread out in 50 schools.
