I have a different hypothesis of why he is apologizing. Most people think he is doing it for money or to keep from losing the team. I believe he is apologizing because he is spoiled rotten little bitch and not used to being looked upon in a negative light. His whole life he has been adored by fans. You know him being the highschool QB with the D1 offer that he was the cock's walk as a teen. Onto college where he was loved by an even larger audience. Culminating in his pro career where he can do no wrong. Sure, some opposing team has fans that may have grieved him some, but he has won a Super Bowl and had a 60 Minutes/Dateline episode about how "Great" he is. For the first time in his life he has experienced hardship and it caused him to fold like a cheap suit. Imagine how he would respond to an even normal life without this kids game that granted him worldwide fame and generational money.

Whatever his problems, if you knew Kap in real life, you'd know exactly who he is. If you didn't like him, you'd know why. If you did, you'd know why. You'd also know that if he said something to you about what he believed that he wouldn't immediately sell you out if 5 really angry dudes told him to change his mind tomorrow.
You can't even fricking trust Brees. His desperation to be liked is clearly greater than anything resembling principles. So, the only thing you know when Brees tells you his principles is that they're subject to change if he decides he values other people over you.
