A note to those cracking on Louisville Christian school over the rainbow cake. There is a LOT more to the story than you think. I'm working on getting more info out. Bottom line: the media reporting so far is a repeat of Covington Catholic, re: liberal media confirmation bias.

Updated with the story he teased: LINK

There's always more to these stories. I'm not familiar with this story. Is the media saying a student got kicked out of school because of a cake?

Girl gets expelled from private Christian school.

The mother says its because of a social media post where she has a rainbow shirt on and has a rainbow cake celebrating her birthday.

School says thats not it, cites letter to mother regarding continued disobedience after a in person meeting in October.

Media runs with the mother's story. Christians are bad. LGBTQ 4 EVAH, you know the drill. Truth is going to come out (its leaking from unofficial sources, school is being quiet) but its going to be embarrassing for the young lady and her mother.

I'm sure the media will quietly issue retractions and corrections in a month or two.

If and a very big If.....

Is she 18?

If so, is she hot?

If she's not 18, these questions are moot and don't need answers.

The picture depicted her 15th birthday.

Parents and other students are saying that she was "bisexual" for the attention and that to their knowledge it was never discussed by administration (for fear of something like this).

Social media is saying that she was expelled because she was repeatedly caught vaping. The mom just used this photo and said this is why she was expelled. There is absolutely no truth to that.

Its a violation for the school to publicly comment on discipline issues and they are taking advantage of it.

This is a continuation of the story which had originally started on the OT.

People were seizing on the “kicked out over a shirt” issue but not looking into why there was two years worth of incidents documented on her as well as a meeting approximately 45 days ago laying out problems and that expulsion was on the table.

This is why... by (long abandoned) journalistic standards one NEVER publishes a single-sourced story.

These days “standards” seem to be not only single-sources but often amounting to anonymous social media sources.

Anytime you see a single-sourced story—something’s f*cky.

Even if we accept the premise that she had "prior issues", a shirt worn off-campus should never, ever be the "final straw".

Now... if it wasn't the final straw, and something else was the final straw... then all bets are off.

The thread in the O-T (which I started) clearly laid out that the school had the "right" to take this action, as a private school. So the OP's contention that private association, etc, is being ignored, is not accurate.

The question I laid out on the other thread, was "WHY" - Why did the school take this action, and why do people send their kids to religious schools that would expel kids for off-campus, non-school-related behavior.

You apparently missed the posts upthread that claimed the shirt / cake had nothing to do with it and instead were given as excuses by her mother for the expulsion.

No official reason has been given for the expulsion but rumors are that she was vaping on campus.

There were no links, just claims by the OP. So I ignored it.

Now, if the OP turns out be correct, then of course, I'll change my tune.

To me, while I still personally think that's a stupid reason to expel someone... at least that's a clearly defined rule in an on-campus situation. If you can't follow the rules of the institution, I have no problem with them telling you not to come back. Actions have consequences.

Kind of hard for the school to legally comment on the situation given rules on privacy with regards to the student’s disciplinary file. Hence why the rumor mill is spreading stories that counter the whole shirt and cake bullshite.

I’m sure there’s a lot more going on here and I’m not buying the mother’s claims for the expulsion, as it comes off as a petty attack on the school as well as a way to get a Go Fund Me handout for getting persecuted against by evil Christians.

He just dropped his story.

https://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/the-rainbow-cake-girl-what-the-media-are-hiding/

When Alford says her daughter “is no angel,” and confirms that she has had “disciplinary issues,” she’s understating matters. My understanding is that Kayla Kenney had a long, specific list of repeated infractions — bullying, disrespecting teachers, vaping in school (as Alford acknowledges), and so forth. Part of what she has allegedly done is promoting LGBT consciousness in the school, including aggression on that front. I’m trying to be delicate here, but I can tell you that she has transgressed against other students on this front, to promote bisexuality. For example, she allegedly drew rainbows and wrote slogans like “bi pride” on other kids’ papers, and gave at least two different girls the impression that she was sexually harassing them. Kayla has been presenting herself as gay on her Instagram account:

And they signed this:

The problem here is an uneven playing field.

The school is legally constrained from saying much.

The mother and daughter are getting their version of the story out there and a lot of people within Louisville have called bullshite on their claims.

Private school. Law says you have to go to school but it doesn't say you have the right to attend a private school if that school doesn't want you.

Bye.
