Dr Mark Siegel says more deaths from Covid19 mitigation guidance than virus

He’s talking with Mark Levin right now on the radio and he truly believes the collateral deaths from Covid19 mitigation will be greater than deaths from the Covid19 virus. He may be correct as will some of us on this forum who have made the same prediction.
Consider how many people who otherwise would have gone to a doctor for a wellness check, colonoscopy, biopsies, etc. who didn’t because Covid19 guidance halted all elective procedures. How many people have increased their use of alcohol or drugs.....or maybe they were previous abusers of alcohol or drugs and now they’ve fallen back into addiction.
Fact is we won’t know for months or years how many Americans suffered or died from Covid19 mitigation vs the number of people who died from the virus and you can bet the CDC and other government run health bureaucracies will do their best to show mitigation was a net benefit.

That seems more obvious than a stretch.

I have first hand insight into this. I have a cousin who is an alcoholic. He has been sober for 14 years. He competes in triathlons- works out at the gym every day - swimming, biking, and lifting weights. I learned 2 weeks ago that he fell off the wagon. All of the events he was scheduled to compete in this year have been cancelled. He's taking it hard, and he's hitting the bottle hard. My other cousin (hi brother) told me that he is almost unrecognizable after just a few weeks of binge drinking.
This really sucks. Fifteen years ago, we almost lost him and it is a miracle that he stopped drinking. Now this.

Shocking news from Cuck Todd just now. Cuck was talking to a Dr Irwin Redlener pediatrician and he was giving a dire future for millions of children around the globe due to the pandemic. Then Cuck reads a statement from the WHO that estimates 1.2 million children may die indirectly from the pandemic because the lack of basic medical care that was exacerbated by the pandemic. The pandemic is increasing poverty due to economic collapse. Looks like Dr Siegel isn't the only doctor predicting severe collateral damage from the COVID19 pandemic.

Right now MSTDS has a Brit reporter Bill Neely saying that Trump's blaming of China for the pandemic is cover for Trump's botching the pandemic preparations and because Trump knows he's losing the 2020 GE.......fricking TDS is spreading just like the COVID19 virus.

Was that a MSTDS fact check or CNN?

In developing countries, they’re going to starve. Completely different set of problems.

In NYC, people under 65 died at a rate of about 10/100,000. That's 0.0001%.
You are almost correct.
It is either .01% or .0001.
Either way, you are absolutely correct that it is statistically insignificant, almost to the point of non-existent.
Essentially, retirees are at the greatest risk. People under 65 stand a 99.99% chance of......wait for it......
....LIVING!!!!

Do we need to play the videos of Dr. Fauci (which liberals like yourself LOVE) talking about how the flu is worse than this and we need to focus on that instead of COVID-19?
Do we need to show the video's of Dr. Fauci stating that everything that he and the task force has requested, the Fed government has provided?
Do we need to show the video's of CA Gov and NY Gov saying that the Fed Gov has given them what they needed?
Or are you just in denial and want Trump out of office by any means necessary?

You think he’s totally off base?
No. He's right on the money. I have a friend who was diagnosed with oral cancer in early March. He's been "on hold" since. UTMB has begun seeing cancer patients again, but he won't be seen until all those ahead of him are seen. In other words, he should be at least two weeks into his treatment regimen. Instead it will still be 6 - 8 weeks before it starts.

True. Nonetheless the COVID19 pandemic will result in collateral damage that will take years to understand and quantify.....including indirect deaths.

Read anything on alcoholism and you will find that it is described as a chronic, progressive and fatal disease, meaning it keeps getting worse even if you are not drinking. So, it was progressing in him and when he started again he was much further down the disease road than he used to be, and that's why after just a few weeks he is unrecognizable. Short of quitting completely again he will be dead in short order. It is a tough fight to fight. I have seen many go back out and never make it back to sanity and sobriety... God bless.

I agree. The whole reaction to covid19 has been total over the top bs. But, you can sue them for following the government directive.
