I kinda agree with you MSUtiger especially lately : but she has and does still make really good points but this past year she has gone off the rails. Imagine being married to her and getting into an argument. Geez.

True. He's also dedicated his career to understand archetypes and themes from narratives. He believes the narrative reveals Truth, and that the Christian story is the most up to date and accurate narrative in human history.

Dawkins pressed him pretty hard on stating a true belief in God during their debate, and Peterson sidestepped the question as best he could. His answer is pretty much: "I don't have the authority to answer that question." It's not a bad answer or inaccurate. But it certainly was a revelation that he does not profess the existence or acceptance of God/Jesus.

you stop listening to Jordan Peterson to take life advice from Candace Owens

I'm ambivalent on Owens. I agree with some of what she says, and challenge other areas. She is a recent convert, and a relative neophyte - but she also doesn't act or pretend to be a theologian.

Peterson is a recovering addict with a disaster for a daughter.

In his own words, his room is rather messy.

When CO or Ye go hard after the Jewish I wonder what caused them to even take a stand on the Jews….Seems weird…

I'll be honest, Candace Owens use to be someone worth listening to. But she done fell off.

She talks about some weird shite on her podcasts. I can see why she got run off of Daily Wire.

Having listened to many of her podcast, with CO, it’s taking a stand against Zionists policies not Jews.

Can you separate the two?

With Ye, I have no idea.

This is my point about Peterson not wanting to lose acceptance from the intellectual class. He wants to be in those circles. But, he knows if he states a profession of belief, he will be an outsider. When given the greatest challenge of "Who do you say I am," Peterson wilts.

Again, I have had a lot of respect for him over the years. But he wants a third rail that cannot exist.

In my experience, anyone who calls out a Christian for not being a "true Christian" is usually in the wrong. It's usually done by atheists or "true Christians" who think they are better than they are.

Jordan Peterson is overrated to me. His whole "clean your room" process is nothing that 1000 self-help books haven't covered before. Him coming across as a pretentious douche might make me biased, though.

Jordan Peterson is a brilliant thinker and amazing communicator. Having read this, I'm not sure that he has supported his accusation against Owens.
He seems to be joining Carville in whatever zone they live in.

Saying stupid things about people they don't know.

He seems to be close to some judging we are warned about, too.

This is exactly what I was referencing.

Christianity is a religion predicated on the reality of Jesus Christ as the God-man who entered into history to fulfill the demands of the law of God and to die as a substitute for His people to save them from the guilt of their sins and reconcile them to God.

Peterson seems hesitant to acknowledge this claim but to only acknowledge its truth as it pertains to the archetype of truth rather than it's particular expression of reality. If he denies the reality of the cross, the resurrection, and the ascension of the Son of God, he is no Christian, definitionally.

Kanye West isn't an intellectual and he likely has severe mental issues, so nothing he says really matters and there's no reason to wonder why he goes after Jews.

Listening to Owens, my interpretation is that she misunderstood the Israel/Gaza issue (Muslim quarter vs Muslim quarters) and that led to a spat between her and Shapiro, which led her down the rabbit hole to where she is now.

for correctly pointing out on your show last night that I never trolled anyone with the phrase Christ is King.
Yes, they use empty bot accounts to justify their absurd narrative that the phrase has been hijacked.
And thank you Mary for correctly contextualizing the reason I used “Christ Is King” during the Brigitte series— the Olympic opening ceremony.

The report was a hatchet smear job and Jordan Peterson should be ashamed of himself for adding his name to it.

He’s been very upfront about his struggles with depression and issue with benzos as a result. Very publicly, which imo is commendable. Ive never paid his attn whore daughter any mind. You can only do so much to raise a kid into a well balanced adult.

Im no Peterson superfan, but I certainly respect him and understand the spirit of what he’s getting at with Candace. I also don’t think it merited a statement. If people stop talking about Candace she’ll go away. She’s simply an opportunist and probably terrible to work with. I don’t dislike her but her 500mph talking style gets old after a while. She’s like Russell Brand without the poetic mastery of the english language

Peterson should get addicted to benzos again. At least then he would be interesting.

I'm not arguing with you. My point is, Peterson is trying to gatekeep for a faith that even he admits he doesn't believe. And his brand has *always* been about personal responsibility, and not going after and critiquing the world.

Well, it's awfully rich when Peterson goes after someone else for how they choose to profess their beliefs.

I honestly didn’t get this from him. I admire him but have only listened to a handful of podcasts, he’s just so dry lol But it seems like half the time I tune in he’s quoting scripture. Maybe a perception issue on my part

I thoroughly enjoyed 12 rules for life. Pretty much sums up my Peterson fanhood lol
